My sister is 2 years old, and when she cries and yells it's so friggin' annoying, I feel like poking my eardrums out. I try to imitate her, and i start whining like she does, but then my parents get mad and hit me. I try singing out the noise, trying to keep my sanity, but it doesn't work. And every time I try to imitate my sister's whining, my mom is like 'I can't stand it when you do that'. And i tell her 'I can't stand it when SHE does THAT'.. and then she gets angry and takes away my things.. I don't know what to do, I'm going insane! I can't tell her to shut up cause she's only a little kid, but its SO DAMN ANNOYING, it's JUST NOISE. What am I supposed to do???

Sometimes I know how you feel, the whining is definitely the worst, but you imitating her and stuff just makes it worse. Sometimes the best thing to do is to get out of the house. But if your parents don't discipline your sister now, then nothings are going to change. She'll still be whining when she's 15. Just try to help out. And get out a little more. Oh and a little idea: record your little sister whining and screaming on tape and show it to parents, then tell them, "Do you want her to be like this when she's 10 ... 15 ... 20? Do you know how embarrassing that'll be?" Trust me if they don't discipline her now it'll only get worse.
I hope I could help.

Have you ever tried taking her into your arms and comforting her? I have a 2 year old and 4 year old brother and a 4 month baby sister. I know exactly what you're talking about. If sitting them down in front of a T.V doesn't work then jus hold them and shhhhhh them and bribe them with candy or ice cream! That ALWAYS works!! I use to do the imitating thing to...was fun but never worked.

Well the only thing you can do is walk away. If she starts crying out loud go into another room. Or try to help her to quiet down if you can manage to. You are making her more irritated by taunting and mimicking her. Leave her be and walk away if you cant stand the noise, let MOM deal with her.

It's tough, one of the joys of being the older sibling. I agree with the other suggestions; try to entertain her or retreat to another room/outside. If you have any interest in sports, see if you can get on a team--that'll mean you'll have a good reason to spend more time away from home, and it'll be good for ya.

Remember how annoying she is whenever you're with your significant other so you won't be tempted to have sex too early in life.

In life, doing the right THING sometimes is the HARDEST of all. If I had the chance to do some things over, I'd pick her up and give her a hug. It's difficult for her too, even at 2. (No pun intended.) Do the right thing, and you'll feel better about yourself.

Try to keep calm... just ask me... I hate little kids sometimes... well, keep calm for some time so that your parents see that you are trying and will appreciate it. I know it's so Freaking hard, but... just listen to music or go out or something, cry even (sorry i had to...) Best wishes, dude

That's what 2 year olds do! Try playing with her and being a good older sibling. She probably really looks up to you.

I am worried for you. If you cannot handle a little sister, how in the world will you handle everyday stresses. It is not your mom's problem that you can't stand it it is your problem. Deal with it. How old are you, 4?

How lucky you are to have a little sister! You can teach her so much. I bet if you spent more time with her, your mom would LOVE your for it and your little sis would NEVER forget it. Kids that age love to sing and dance. Go for walks, make food, talk to her. Enjoy her, life goes tooooo fast.
