Unfortunately, I don't think anything you say will change the problem, unless you are willing to threaten the relationship. I've had problems with my weight my whole life, and the only time I've lost weight is when it was because it's what I wanted. It's the same with smoking, drinking and any other addiction. No matter how bad you may want it for someone, they have to want it for themselves. If he's gaining weight rapidly, it's an indication that there is an underlying emotional problem. Maybe he's nervous about getting married. You might suggest couples counseling, and that way he won't feel attacked. When it comes to someone's weight, you have to be very careful what you say.

Rent the movie Super Size America. About the guy who ate nothing but fast food for a month and gained weight. Interesting movie with some bias but good side points - one being the Guys S*x drive went down as his weight went up. Even in the end of the movie the guy's girl friend was saying it took him (i think) a year + to loss the extra weight and his s#x drive was still not up to parr.
When that part comes on in the movie ask him if that really true that higher weigh lessens the drive? Maybe he will draw his own conclusions.
added -- remember some people eat due to stress and getting married is stress for everyone. Observe his habbits but do not nag - it will cause more stress.

This really depends on how long you have been together, and how comfortable you guys are together. If you are really worried about it then just talk to him. If you think he will get offended, then why don't you talk to him about it in a way that makes it seem that you are concerned about his health, I mean you may be, but your also worried about his appearance, but he doesn't need to know that. Another thing you could do is make this weight loss situation not bad, is to make it a mutual type of "project" and you guys could both lose weight for the wedding.

You're going need to be very gentle about this, because you don't want to hurt his feelings. Why don't you just try to encourage him to be more active? Tell him you want to start walking and exercising and that you'd like him to join you so that the two of you can start a healthy life together. Also, encourage him to eat healthy foods. It's not just about looks, you know... Tell him that you love him and that you want him to be healthy so that you and he can have a nice long happy life together. Good luck!

You need to be honest. He's your to-be husband for goodness sake, you need to come right up to him and say you need to talk and say what's on your mind. You need to get in the habit of being open. Tell him how you feel and how it's good for him to lose weight.

One thing you never need to tell someone is that you noticed they are gaining weight, he knows it. How about asking if he will go for a walk with you so you two can chat? Why are you getting married to a guy that just sleeps and eats? Doesn't he go to work? If he is just a bum, dump him. You still have time to not send out the invitations.

put on your workout clothes, give him his and tell him you are going jogging - both of you. get a cardio machine and tell him that you have to use it every day- both of you - otherwise it would be a waste of money.
dont keep any junk food at home, buy only healthy food - and cook it too, when a whole household is eating and exercising the same way its much easier to lose weight for that one chubby person.

You coul tell him that you two about to start a life together and you want him to be around as long as possible. And that you're starting to worry about the effects his increased weight could have on his life.
