When not many Americans enlisted for the armed services when we needed them the most, they let non citizen immigrants join and figth for our country. What do you think about them...figthing for a country that doesnt want them here. Not concerned about the views on the war. Would you respect them?

I have respect for them and Americans should be grateful that these men and women step to the plate to fight even though they get discriminated because of their legal status.
But then again, Americans probably think that these men and women OWE them something, so they should be over in Iraq fighting.

Its not the case that most dont want them here, its that we want them to be documented and to be legal. Not go on federal or state assistance, and drain out economy. I really feel bad for the poor mexicans that are shot trying to give there family a better life, but at the same time, I am struggling to get by with the astronomical taxes that our citizenship ensures we have to pay. I am paying for the welfare and prisons, and section 8 and food stamps, and shelters, and insurance etc. I just want to be able to afford to cake care of mine without having over half the money I earn be used for foreign uses. I feel that if they are in this country, and they are getting to be here illegally or however, they want to enlist, then let them, but they should be able to become a citizen then, because they have earned the right. If your willing to die for a country then you have a right to call that country home..

American has always allowed immigrants to fight during war time. These immigrants are special and should be respected.

I doubt if a illegal immigrant is going to step forward and admit they broke the law and then be allowed to serve.
Of course there could be exceptions.

In general though, most people don't have anything against legal immigrants. Its the law breakers we want gone.

We are all immigrants remember.....once upon a time we were all immigrants. So naturally anyone that Volunteered is an immigrant. Legal of course, the illegals can go home. So you see, anyone that has volunteered did step up to the plate on their own accord.

What is a "non-citizen immigrant"? There are legal immigrants, and illegals.

They should not let illegals serve. Why would we entrust our national defense to people who don't even respect our laws enough to become citizens?

I don't exactly agree with your opinion that they are not wanted. They sure aren't exactly getting persecuted by the government.

If they are qualified, I think it would be wonderful. We had quite a few Filipinos that got citizenship when I was in. They were all outstanding people as would be the Mexicans that hypothetically qualified.

there is 2 reasons for join in the army

1.to serve your country
2.to get an easy access to the citizenship

I become first US citizen and then I join in the army
because I don't want nobody tell me I join in the army
to become US citizen..

Legal immigrants should serve. Illegals of course should not even be here.

I can't find either of the sites!

There were 4,600 of them in the service and I know of several killed in Iraq!

I don't think non-citizens should die for a country, or should I say the mainly Republican, and red necks, that hate them. Let them do their own dying!
