I went on one date with a guy, and he is already saying he is interested in a serious relationship with me, and sending me txt msgs that say "I miss you" and "Thinking of you," and asking me if I'm dating anyone else, and saying that if we are a couple he has to trust me so I shouldn't date anyone else if I am with him, and stuff like that. And we've only been on one date!!!
Is this weird?? It is sweet? Should I be happy or freaked out? I'm used to a lot of game playing this early on, playing it cool and stuff like that. I'm not used to a guy being so straightforward!!!

Be freaked out. He's desperate.
Actually, decide whether you want him too. If you want him, go for it. If not, be freaked out.

Run!
Anyone that is that controlling (ie talking about trust after a first date) has serious issues. It seems sweet but it's not. This is actually how a lot of violent relationships start - but I'd guess that most of those guys wait for at least a few dates to talk about trust.

It's not only weird but scary. You need to run from this guy and fast. Don't talk to him, don't take his messages and block his number if you need too. Guys moving that fast have something wrong with them, you are right to be freaked out. He is at least needy and immature, at worse he is a serial killer. The fact that you are even asking doesn't speak well of you. Guys like this prey on girls desperate to find a boy friend, and then use and abuse them.
Don't have anything to do with this guy from this point on, or else he might be wearing your skin as a coat (silence of the lambs anyone?).

Well, based on what kind of a person you feel he is based off your date (nice guy or stalker) than don't necessarily be freaked out. I mean some guys feel so strongly for a girl that they don't even think about the fact that the girl might get scared by his passion. In the end, most girls would admit that they would love their boyfriend/husband to be that passionate. Feel it out, but definitely don't be afraid if he seems like he's decent. Good luck.

well i suppose it depends on how well you know this guy if you do not know him very well , then you should probably be careful ,and if you have known him for awhile then you you should already know how he is going to be ,so really it depends on the impression you get , if it freaks you out then watch your back and even if you are OK with it then you should still talk to him about it, and see what is going on and good luck

I think he is rushing ahead.. but don't kick him to the curb just yet. If you are genuinely interested in him... let him know the breakdown of how you feel, that's what he wants to hear more than anything. Explain to him your opinion on how he is handling things and you wanna just kick back and take it slow.
He obviously is falling harder for you quicker than you are of him, don't freak out just set him straight..

Whoa... yeah you should freak out. He sounds young or just overly possesive. Straightforward is one thing, but after one date?

Maybe its better this way, since its obvious the previous relationships didn't work out. Just stick with the relationship. For all you know, his straight forwardness might be exactly what you need.

If someone did that to me after one date, I'd be frightened. It's moving too fast. I'd be afraid that he was a stalker or something. You hardly know each other.

Bit weird. You must've made an impression, but it's a bit over the top.
