Why all the Hate in NASCAR?

Question

Well, from reading the questions and answers on this site it seems like there alot of drama in here between the people who like Hendrick Motor Sports and / or their driver and the people out there who can't stand Hendrick.

1) Why all the hate between opinions?
2) Is this Yahoo Answers - NASCAR topic section, or is this some debate chat room on drivers and teams?

I'm sorry but "Out for Justice" that doesn't answer my question. I haven't said anything bad about Jeff Gordon on here, so I would appreicate it if you wouldn't talk bad about Harvick. Thanks.

Besides, that was 3 years ago, like you said. Are you having some kind of issues with letting that one go?

I see you're new to this forum so I will bring you up to speed. First off you will see hundreds of gay questions, mostly about Jeff Gordon and Jr but there are no drivers immune from the haters. We have had several trolls in here proclaiming F1 is superior or NASCAR is ruining the world and so on. Then there are just the bored loners that have no joy in anything except to try and tick everybody off. This will never end. My advice is to just ignore the non fans, for the most part, you will figure out real soon who the real fans are. The other thing is even some of the "real" fans can get out of line sometimes, people are very passionate about their favorite drivers and sometimes when they can't talk about how good their's is all they can do is try to rip on all the others. Welcome to yahoo answers and have fun with it but don't take it all too seriously.

Hey people are people.They make fun of or poke fun at or talk about each other.NASCAR fans are no different.
Being from the South and following the sport for more than 40 years I am a Southern purest.I follow the drivers with Southern background(the sport originated it the South).
When drivers from other parts of the country infiltrate NASCAR then it is open season on them.
But it is all in fun,the team I pull for are not all Southern drivers.

Ok, are you saying I ought to "play nice" from now on? Not say anything bad about any driver or any team? Well, I'll think about it. Honestly.

But I still love Jeff Burton, even if Texas is the only race he wins all year, even if something happens and he drops out on contention for the Chase, and even if he wrecked every race and finish last, I would still be his fan. I can say that I'm a true Jeff Burton fan and will always be.

And I was at the races in Talladega, I'll honestly say I felt bad for Gordon, I seen it all in person. I didn't throw anything at him nor at anybody else. See, I do have a heart. Besides, my man here at home is a Gordon fan and I wouldn't do something like that because he respects my driver so I respected Gordon at Talladega. Even though my man Jeff Burton was involved in a wreck - thanks Jimmie Johnson for that one - and ended up 40 laps down or so... but when Burton came back onto the track and had no hopes for winning, I was still there cheering him on.

I like Happy, Jr is my favorite driver, I like all the old school guys except sterling marlin, and while I am not and never will be a Jeff Gordon fan, I have always repected him as a driver. Kyle is good but a little rough around the edges--he'll learn. Jimmie Johnson is another story. He is more irritating than that boogity crap and toyota suckup syrup from Darrell.

It would be boring if everyone liked the same teams, like in baseball or football, etc.

1. I wouldnt call it hate between opinions, just passion for each ones drivers/teams, I also think some people who ask questions here just ask them to incite angry reactions, such as asking questions like is Gordon gay, etc.
2. This is Yahoo answers Nascar topic section, and alot of questions do fuel debate and discussions like a chat room, but I think its very entertaining to read, and maybe reply with my own answers, most questions are very good questions.

Ya'll act like this is the only sport that has "hate" in it...Football,Baseball,Basketball,Hockey,all of 'em have their love/hate sections;favorite/hated teams/players,etc.As for the Dale Jr. fans being "redneck idiots",that's ignorance talking because I'm a black male that enjoys NASCAR every Sunday & I was a Dale Sr.(R.I.P.) fan as well as Richard Petty,the Allisons and the younger drivers too.Everybody is gonna have their PERSONAL heroes/villians and that's the way life is.

three years ago, harvick wrecked gordon at the california race. he pit manuevered gordon close to the finish line and flipped him over, intentionally. then he and several other drivers laughed about it. that is why i can't stand harvick.

I believe most the hate here stems from ignorance. Read any question that is technical or not subjective and it is easy to see that most have no clue, just opinions. When you are ignorant you believe every rumor and always think your driver is right and the others are wrong.

Jeff Gordon is to blame for all the ills of the world. He must be the demon seed, he's bound to have made a deal with the devil to have the luck he's had. Maybe his car should really be number "666".
