My face is clear, but I have dark marks from where the acne used to be, so it doesn't really feel clear. Help please!

Before you go out spending TONs of money.. Try this first. Vitamin E oil. Buy a bottle or use the caplets which is messier. Rub this into your skin. Try this for about a month.. Worked for all my scars. Mind you, Major scarring will not completely go away but it will have drastic changes.

Scars are uneven indentations on the skin caused by acne.

Scars can be lightened with skin or spot lighteners but cannot be removed without surgery by dermabrasion or laser technology. I know because I had the same problem and had dermabrasion 12 years ago-I was very satisfied. Cost me 5k.

There are many skin lighteners available but I suggest you discuss this first with your dermatologist.

I have my own Cosmeceutical formulations-a kit that contains a skin lightener, AHA, Fruit acid and Glycolic acid with 2 or 3.5% strength that peels top layers of skin if used regularly. You can purchase them in sample sizes to see if they work for you.

Don't let the word 'acid' scare you. They are all plant based.

A much easier all natural way to get rid of post acne scars is to use one of the friut based masks found on www.classichealing.com. these masks have antioxidants in them that help get rid of dead skin and promote new skin growth. Dont forget to eat well and drink plenty of water.

Go to your doctor or a dermatologist & ask about Retin-A. It promotes cell turnover & stimulates collagen production - which helps reduce the appearance of shallow acne scars.

I've used Retin-A & Differin. Both have helped clear my blemishes & diminish my acne scars.
