If you have the sort of relationship with your stepson that you are considering putting his name permanently on your body, that means that you would continue to have a relationship with him even if you someday no longer had one with his Dad. Put his name on there because you care about him, not because you don't want to offend your husband. He's a part of your life & your daughters life, and you're part of his life, too..

How long have you been married? How old are the children?
I think it depends on why you are considering getting your stepsons name! Is it because you truly care for/love him or is it because u feel like u should? Does your husband have names tattooed on him? If this is something you truly want to do I would ask your husband what he thinks about it.

They will custom make a tattoo for you. If their names are the same amount of letters you can have your daughters read one way and then when you turn it upside down read ur stepsons.

Perhaps you should leave “names” out of it and rather get a tat or tats that symbolize both children. Example: my 9 yr old wants me to get a butterfly done in her fav colors. My step-daughter wants me to get kitten that looks like the one she had once. Both wanted me to get their names but I refused because I don’t want that type of permanence…if you know what I mean. I can’t say that my step-daughter will always be a part of my life so I would rather get an image that represents her than get her name tattooed on my body.

Tattoo is something personal and it's on ur body! I would think u should go for something you like. If you tattoo something relate to ur step-son, u r just doing it for ur husband.
If u really feel uneasy to left out ur step son, jus do a small tattoo for him.
Although, I'll find it quite silly. Just do it ur way...

Well, He is a part of you, but maybe you could work something out with your husband, if he wants to get a tattoo... he could get his son's name, and you can get your daughters....Otherwise, if you decide to put the names into a heart, sun, clover etc. you can always get it filled if everything fails.

Hmm, well if your going to go get it done soon just get your daughters name or whatever your getting that has to do with your daughter, then think it over more if you want your step-son in it. Because you can always get it added to the tattoo. :)

Maybe you could do one with both their names, in a heart?
Or, do a small circle of husb-stepson-daughter names around the earth? [ or all your names ]
Or son's name waving diagonally down [ like a banner ] with daughters going up diagonally?
Or a crossword effect with one-two-three-four names:

WILLIAM
E
N
DAVID
Y

No matter what, he is your daughter's big brother forever!
