My family is thinking about getting one but we dont know everything about it. What are the advantages or disadvantages? please tell me all and everything you know.

make sure you test drive it and get out on the highway ive heard that the commander rides alittle boxey and tight usually around corners and the engine is not to powerful either, but i like the design

Stay away! the vehicle is too new introduced in 2006,it has a lot of issues,go to a web site called Alldata.com and get technical service bulletins,and recalls.This should convince you not to venture into those waters. A list of some of the issues. Body Ratcheting Noise during sunroof operation,false service 4wd message,body sunroof glass not flush,Outside display inaccurate,A/C musty order,Body water leaks, and so on......I hope this helps.

bg dissadvantage...almost 0 visibility out the back...so you won't see your kids playing before you potentially run them over...thankfully jeep is offers optional camera now for the commander...on the upside...it has ok space inside and the skylights for the top...makes a starlit night even more beautiful...
other than that, bad on gas mileage, small 3rd row and has jeep's relability rating of average - below average...powerful engine though

I wouldn't buy one, those new V6 engines are pieces of junk as in they get terrible gas mileage. If you want a jeep buy an older model with the 4.0L inline 6 engine.
