If he stoped the sun, would you think Earth would the Earth go stright into the sun, or even get knocked off orbit because of Joshua stoping the sun. ACCORDING TO PHYSICS.

OH YEA, HE PROBABALY SAW THE LUNAR ECLIPSE THUS, THOUGHT HE STOPED THE SUN, WHO CAN EXPLAIN THAT? OH, WHAT WAS THE TIME WHEN HE RESUMED THE SUN?

THY SHALL NOT LIE

What are you talking about? You sound as if you've just made some great discovery. You're mixing up thou and thy, and your spelling is terrible. Maybe if you worked on that, you'd be able to comprehend whatever you thought you just read.

If the Earth stopped rotating, which is the only thing that would cause the sun to stand still from our perspective, it would not fall towards the sun, but we would not be here today.

That is because the energy needed to stop the earth, about 2.56x10^29 joules, is enough energy to boil all the water on the planet over 300 times. That is over 10 minutes worth of the entire energy output of the sun. If that energy were imparted to the earth, the oceans would have become steam, and the crust would be molten. Then, we have to impart that energy to the earth again to start it spinning again.

There is no historical record of the oceans evaporating, the crust melting, or the planet being sterilized. We are all here today, so it's safe to assume that the earth did not stop spinning. People always ignore energy requirements. I am sure some people will say, "Well, God miracled the heat away". While that is possible, we don't allow for miracles in science.

I have no idea what nonsense the previous poster is talking about regarding "we are missing one day in a year". That is utter nonsense.

If Joshua stopped the rotation of the Earth, that wouldn't cause the Earth to fly directly into the sun, no. If the radial deceleration were instantaneous, however, think of the whiplash!

He did not lie. Why do you think he should? What kind of god would create a universe and not be able to control it when he wanted? The Lord could, and as He wanted to help His people, He did stop the sun.

it is not the sun which stopped; it is actually the earth... that is the reason why we lack almost one day in a year.
that's God's power it is hard for us human to comprehend.

God did answer Joshua's prayer and stop the sun. Doesn't matter if you believe it. It happened.
