Does anyone ever look at ebay, craigslist, or the specialized wedding dress sites? Its Givenchy, in great shape, really dont see it getting handed down. Just taking up space at this point. Dont have a digital photo of it handy, more am looking for if I should even bother. Have checked with resale shops. and they say they basically sell them for half, and give you half of that.

How about donating it to a charity. I recall seeing girls on the news donating to the hurricane victims. You aren't probably going to recover your costs anyway and this way you can feel good that you helped another!

Yes, lots of women look at ebay, and more are learning about using craigslist, if the others on Answers are any indication.
I think it's best sometimes just to start with your own local or regional newspaper, then fan out from there.
However, don't be disappointed by how 'little' you will get for your dress - even if it were worth over 1k, don't expect more than a hundred or so.

I look through them on ebay quite often, but I've never bid on one. They all seem to sell, though.
We're doing a 'planned elopment' so if I get a wedding dress at all, it will be a very informal one. I'll likely pick something nice out that's not really meant to be for a wedding, and wear that.

you would get more for it from a consignment store...ebay you will only get about forty bucks. ...you can check it out yourself by finding COMPLETED LISTINGS on ebay for similar dresses.
