We all have bad thoughts sometimes. What do you think was Paul's thorn in the flesh? Nobody knows. But of this I'm certain: it was something very unpleasant that kept annoying Him. What did he do? Relied on grace. That's all we can do, really. I am sincerely happy that you can feel the love of God when you pray, so just remember He loves you and all He wants is your happiness, and don't worry when those thoughts come, just pray to Him and try to think of other things. There is a song by Petra about this:

"Think On These Things"
Words and music by Bob Hartman
Based on Philippians 4:8

In solitary time the thoughts run through my mind
Some from the very throne some origins unknown
I know there's a danger waiting
Thoughts held in captivity
The vain imaginations that long to be set free
I hold the key
With thoughts of purity

Whatever things are pure and true,
(I want to)
Think on these things
Whatever things are filled with virtue
Think on these things
When my mind begins to stray
I want to think the other way
Think on these things
Think on these things

Into the conscious flow the tributaries go
The source from which they start
Abundance of the heart
My mind has a mind of its own
choosing negativity
Only the thoughts of virtue
Withhold the raging sea
I turn the tide
By choosing to abide

Whatever things are honest
Whatever things are just
Whatever things are lovely
I will put my trust
In the things that never cease
To keep my heart in perfect peace

That God will not forgive you is the biggest lie ever! If God did not forgive us, there would be no Christianity! Guilt does NOT come from God. That is all about Satan. He wants you to think that God is angry w/ you and doesn't love you. But this is a lie! If you are truly sorry for your sins, God WILL forgive you. There is nothing to worry about. Just rest assured in the fact that God loves you. That is why we need a savior! (because we SIN) Obviously we're not perfect people, and God will forgive us if we are sorry. Your teacher is lying and that does not come from the Bible. Don't know where she got that... Forget it if you're sorry :)

If you can't stop worrying because of OCD, then God understands, sometimes OCD can be a chemical imbalance and we can't control that, I have OCD, but have never been medicated and I need to. I have these thoughts that tell me to do things, and I can't stand still for any amount of time, I always need to be doing things, and I worry about things all the time. I worried so much, I got a bleeding ulcer and have IBS now. I have stress headacks and I am nervous and anxious all the time and can't relax. I am currently in theophostics, trying to get some relief before I try medication or theraphy again. www.theophostic.com

OCD is a medical problem that has really been addressed in the last 7 or 8 years. Some folks have it more so then others. It takes something to break the cycle of thought or action. Some people have to be put on medication.God knows the heart and he above all understands our afflictions. He knows whats meant and what`s just a product of errant thoughts our minds sometimes settles on and we can`t seem to shake .Keep praying , God is there and he will bring you through and help get you passed this.

I know just how you feel but, I also know that the closer you are to God the more you feel that way so take heart. I know for me I had a tremendous problem with Pride. It boiled down to the fact that I guess I had a hard time realizing I was not perfect and so the faults that I continually saw, instead of being so happy that Jesus knew all about me and was willing to help me because he knew I didn't like the sinful thoughts, were constantly before me like I wasn't really sinful and didn't know where these thoughts were coming from ---miserable sinner that I am I finally thought well, yah, these things are inside of me and thanks Be to God that he died for me. Just keep thinking that your cross will be a strainer sort of speak where you will go through no problem but your sins will stay on the cross dead. We will be with Jesus!!

This is why I am really glad I am Catholic and have the opportunity to go to confession. There is just something about having the priest tell us we are absolved from the guilt of these sins through the Grace given to the Church through Jesus. When he blew on the Apostles and said whose sins you shall forgive will be forgiven -- well that just is it for me... The term for that feeling of worry over sinful thoughts is called scrupulosity.

"my teacher told me God wont forgive us for, that gets stuck in my head "

What a rediculous thing to say. Does this teacher have a scripture to back this up?

My son has OCD. The best thing you can do is take control of your mind and discipline it. Remember, your will is in control of your mind, not vise verse.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. - 2 Cor 10.

Remember, the thought is not the sin. Acting upon the thought is the sin.

I think you are overreacting. Your teacher is wrong for what she/he said to you. God forgives anyone who asks for forgiveness or repents. I just can't believe she/he would tell you something like that, that is not biblical. I think you just worry too, too much about things that are being said to you. You need to take this to God in prayer. You can't always believe what other people tell you, that's why you ask God for wisdom and understanding.

II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

This states that God has given us a sound mind. It is up to us to learn to control our own minds. Everytime these bothersome thoughts enter your awareness, counteract them with your own version of the above verse. Ex-"God has given me a sound mind". Though our minds can work rapidly, they can only hold one thought at a time. Each time you find yourself with an undesirable thought, consciously replace it with a desirable thought such as mentioned above. Eventually the thoughts YOU choose to think will predominate.

Do you really believe that anyone knows God's thoughts? If he is all-loving then it seems that he would forgive anything; especially transgressions of a young person. And if he is all-loving, he would not send anyone to everlasting hell.
