well, seeing the very first answer to this was obviously by an expert in the field. I am at odds on how to respond. Well best start with the facts. If a hamster gets too hot they may get heat stroke, or lethargic (not very responsive) they can become limp. The fir can get sweaty. Don't place the cage in the direct sunlight.. Replenish his fluids as well.

My hamster would always sleep on it's back with it's belly up when it was hot. He almost looked like he was dead.

I think Idesiremoonlights answer was authoritative on the subject of overheating.I think the question was meant to be ambiguous to get a variety of answers.By the way where do we buy those tiny black bras , at "Naughty for Mice"?

when my hamster Flapjaks gets hot, it starts making itself really long and thin and it moves around that way, like a caterpillar almost
