I think so, heck yeah! I mean, if you're just after a guy for his job and $$$, you're gonna find out that, more than likely, he lives/eats/breathes his job. That and it shows how shallow and lame the person (who wants to find Mr Money!) is!
Personally, I have no problem dating a guy who doesn't have that executive job, the salary of 6+ figures, etc.. To me, if the guy is nice, treats you right, then it doesn't matter where he works or how much he makes. That right there is worth way more than any bank account could! That's my 2 cents. ;)

Hmmm . . . well, women have the right to look out for their best interests. I think it's a really bad idea for a woman to refuse to date a guy who has an adequate job and income, however. I don't understand this constant striving for more of everything. More money, more cars, bigger houses, etc. It all amounts to NOTHING, and it leads a lot of people to sorrow because they can't quite afford it. I want a woman who can be satisfied with what I can provide, not one who is never satisfied and would rather have me struggle to get by to pay for everything. Good night!

It is your right to decide who you want to date and who you just don't, based on whatever criteria suits you and your expectations. So, I don't think it is wrong. Maybe this guy will not be forever in a mediocre job, but something makes me think that if he was very handsome, nice and fun to be with (in other words, if you liked him) you wouldn´t be making this question in the first place.

Why shouldn't you date a guy because of his job or bank account? That shouldn't be the matter. You have to discover more about him and if you like him, then it shouldn't be a problem. Don't look at that too much. It's not healthy if you want to build up the relationship..

If a man overlooked you because he didn't like your job and thought your salary was only so-so, wouldn't you find him to be superficial? It is wrong to judge a person based on superficial, material things. You could really be missing out on a good guy. And, if money is such an issue, get yourself a good job! Don't rely on a man to take care of you!

It depends. If he has ambition and plans on doing something more with his life, then why not. However if he is content with his mediocre job and low pay, then I would say no. How old is he anyway?

at first glance, it does seem shallow and vain, but in reality most people want to date someone that is on the same level as them financially or is working to get on the same level. for me, especially if it's the guy i'm going to marry, it's okay if i make more than him (as long as he can handle it), but i don't want to be supporting him and the rest of my family with my salary. that type of stuff can end a marriage!

No its not wrong, you have your standards. Just know you could be passing up a great guy that could be a great father, husband and could be rich ONE DAY.
On the other hand if you pass him up you could be passing up a lot of financial problems...its all up to you. Date him, you don't have to marry him anytime soon.

If you think he's hot, and sweet, and loving, and sincere, and kind, and fun....and not date him based on money...yeah, that's pretty shallow. Chances are, he's none of what I said before the money issue.
