The white.
Eggs contain all nine essential amino acids (the building blocks of protein), making them a complete source of protein.
The egg white (aka albumen) has over half an egg’s total protein plus important vitamins and minerals like niacin, riboflavin (aka vitamin B12), potassium, and magnesium.
The egg yolk (the yellow part) has all the egg’s fat (about 4.5 grams) and cholesterol (about 200 mg), but less than half the protein. That doesn’t mean you should necessarily skip out on the yolk! Egg yolks contain 100% of an egg’s vitamins A, D, E and zinc. The yolk also has a bit of iron, calcium and many other minerals.

Any preparation of eggs is a great source of protien, however the yolks are rather high in cholesterol. If you are looking for protien, I would reccomend eating just the whites, with an occasional yolk as a treat. Another great way is to make an omelette with 3 whites and one yolk. Fill it with your favorite veggies, top with salsa, and enjoy a delicious, guilt free, high protien breakfast.

Never thought of it that way. The white part doesn't have a lot of nutritional value at all....calories, fat or protein. Many dieters that are avoiding these things go for the egg whites. But if you want protein...go for the yolk. I prefer scrambled eggs....then it's not a question!

The Adkin's Diet is a seriously terrible idea. There is nothing good about a low carb diet. Carbs are necessary for proper bodily functions, like walking and even being awake. You don't want to eat just carbs, but a nice balanced diet. Carbs, however, are supposed to take up the greater half of your daily caloric intake...6-11 servings daily. Keep everything in balance and you should feel fine. Now, are you trying to lose weight? You can still lose weight while eating carbs. Try the vegetarian or vegan diet. You can eat delicious, good-for-you food and not worry too much. Just be cautious, like you would on a normal diet.
