What is the focus of your question?
I am not follower of one of the many different Christian sects, but I can put in some thoughts from the experience I've had with various religious, anthropological, and cultural thinking.
If you look into most of those sects, the other "organized" religious systems, and some of those not lumped into "organized", you begin to notice similar themes running through them all. It's like seeing a practical version of the saying about many paths leading to the same answer. For example what Christians know as The Golden Rule can be found in all versions of Wicca where it is called The Wiccan Rede, and by other names in other belief systems.
It seems the fundamental messages are closer than many think, regardless of messenger, and just require a certain amount of cultural knowledge to disentangle and understand.
