Because Jesus DOESN'T bring presents. Santa does. And you can only blame parents for not bringing up their children with the real meaning of Christmas-the birth and life of Jesus. But also remember, that many pagan saints are modren day saints that we belive in today. Not to mention many other holidays came from pagan ones.
Oh, and if you are on this kick about religion....then you should be brought to point on having a picture of a nun with a garter belt showing as YOUR picture. Whatever. Don't preach about the morals of others if this is how you represent your faith.

Simple, early Christianity took a pagan ritual and used it to conquer people of a different faith!!
As they took Halloween, and Easter, and turned them into holidays to take people from the Wicca religion.
Easter was a Spring Festival in many cultures used to rejoice at the new season of growth, hence the Resurrection of Jesus.
Halloween took place of the day of the dead, which was on Nov !st, and is still recognizes by some cultures.
In winter, around the New Year, there was the winter festival, used by many cultures as an excuse to just have a good time, after all, winter can be depressing, and giving gifts was a tradition, thus Christmas.
Nobody knows the exact date of Jesus' birthday, or the day of his supposed Resurrection.
Christianity has stolen a lot of things from other cultures to foster their religion!!

LOL!!!!, before making such a silly statement, check your information. The actual Santa was really Saint Nicholas, Bishop of Myra (today Antalya province, Turkey). He was not a pagan, he did exist, and he was a Christian. He came from a very rich family and he used his very own enheritance to secretly help the people from his parish. Whenever he knew someone needed money, he used to go late at night in threw the money through the windows so people find it the next day. Because people used to hang their sock to dry by the fireplace, the money used to fall inside the socks, that's why the stocking. His actual festivity is December 6th.
You don't believe, it's fine, but you dont have to lie!

i'm unlikely to declare you mustn't permit teenagers have Santa, yet i think Santa could have undesirable consequences on little ones. If 2 teenagers of comparable age and in an identical area are acquaintances and the two have faith in Santa, yet one has wealthy dad and mom and the different has undesirable dad and mom. they are the two waiting for the same Santa, yet for some reason Santa introduced the wealthy youngster greater and cooler presents. what's the undesirable youngster gonna think of? That he grow to be undesirable and upset Santa? or perchance worse, he gets mad and starts to hate Santa?

Should Christians do it???
Why don't You tell those kids that Jesus bring Christmas presents.
I hope they won't laugh at You.
And Frankly speaking, Jesus does not operate that way.
Jesus is God, A Friend, and Man's Saviour.
To compare Jesus as Santa Claus is totally Stupid.

In Spain the three kings bring gifts on January 6th.
For some reason children leave their shoes outside their bedroom doors, and the three kings fill them with candy and coins. My mom put a big gift on the top of my shoes.

The reason isn't the same for everyone, but one thing does remain the same, that it's a time to celebrate.
Just tell him the truth. Let them know that we exchange presents at Christmas time to family and friends. We enjoy the lights, the Christmas tree, lots of good food and spending time with our friends and family.

Because Jesus doesn't. If you were a man, you would make a good Jesuits priest. You would be almost as good as Augustin Cardinal Bea. And I know who he was.... He was also in LIFE magazine in '63. Among a few other things...

The reason for this is, it would damage a child's Imagination.
But in so saying this, it seems to have already damaged the imagination in many people already. I must apologize for not finding you sooner!
We are in agreement on one point, the return of the one known as Jesus (PBUH) is imminent.
And I don't happen to profess Christianity.
