I don't think that the phrase alone is a valid argument in and of itself, especially if the person that it is being said to doesn't believe in God.
The Bible is His Word, His love letter, His road map to His Creation. But,He gave His creation the right to reject it and Him.
So, while it may "say so in the Bible," it isn't a valid argument unless it is used in the right context.
See, I don't believe in Dracula. So, I don't believe vampires exist. I do believe in God. So, I do believe that demons exist.

Sin? In Exodus 20:17 God instructions that we shouldn't covet our neighbor's slaves, nor the rest that belongs to him. What God did no longer command here is for all of those servants to settle for his or her freedom. So each and every from time to time God has some humorous regulations, and that they do no longer continuously seem to coincide quickly with what we planned to be the utmost a threat morality. yet as quickly as we return on your question, and get rid of all of trimmings, you ask, "What harm does the 'sins' in Christianity reason?" Oh they have large skill to do harm! homicide is exceptionally undesirable, helpful. yet what approximately different sins? Exodus is dazzling for sins. 22:18 Says kill each and all of the witches. Eeek. This commandment might have incredibly brought about some worry if all people stricken to study it. Oh they did? Oh hell. 22:19 is greater helpful. Sexually abuse animals? dying penalty! See, there is robust stuff in the bible! 22:25 Says do no longer cost pastime while lending money. LOL! Who does God think of he's speaking to? 23:13 Says do no longer even point out the names of alternative gods. So comparitive non secular examine seem surprising out. Wow on 2nd thought, this entire sin factor seems slightly ordinary to me.

"it says so in Dracula"...Dracula isn't the written word of God, the world's Creator. The Bible is the most important written literature. To recite God's word is a valid argument.
"so there..."

The Bible is credible, because the Bible -CAN- prove itself to be true, because it is not one book like many people assume. It is a collection of 66 books written over vast amounts of time by many authors, so it is able to credit itself. The Bible -IS- reliable, the Son of the Dragon (Dracula) isn't.

Because it says so in the Bible!
Aren't they cute when they use dogma as a substitute for logic.
At least they have job security. At least until McDonalds invents a machine to flip burgers.

i can see how an unbeliever could feel that way. .. but if my pastor or another believer was sharing with me something that i personally was doing that was contrary to the word then that would be enough of a reason for me to try to change.>> because i already believe and have experienced the presence of the holy spirit in my life.. but for an unbeliever no.. sometimes you need more then that.. does that help?

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as to divide soul, spirit, joints, and marrow; it is a judge of the ideas and thoughts of the heart.

well Draculas ficticious, the Bible's for real, and to answer you question, well, because it says so in the Bible 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (KJV)”
you see, I believe in God and so I believe what He says, and as you see it explains where all scripture came from, so what the scripture is saying, its what Gods saying.
