Anti-pinworm drugs such as Albenza (albendazole), Vermox (mebendazole), or Pin-X (pyrantel) are commonly used to treat pinworms. It is not a necessity to visit a doctor to get these drugs, as Pin-X is available as an over the counter medication (Albenza and Vermox are prescription in the US); ask a pharmacist for medicines to treat pinworms (or threadworms as they are known in the UK). These medicines kill the pinworms 95% of the time, but do not kill the eggs. The person being treated may have to return after a time of two weeks to be re-treated. Another precaution is to wash the hands before eating (to prevent any pinworm eggs under fingernails from being ingested) and to wash any area or clothes that have touched or been in the vicinity of the infected areas. Treating the entire family is often necessary for cure.

Well I got a news flash for you Mike: now you probably have them too. You have to go through the appointed drug proposal the doctor will give you to expell these pin worms. If I were your parents I'd be in a tizzy because she probably is infecting the entire family and her friends that she comes in contact with. You see they're very contagious.
You'd better get off your duff and have a chat with your parents right now and make that appointment, it's going to take time for the tests and in the meantime I would'nt get near her, make her wash good and everyting she touches, including her clothing. Wash all her underclothes in bleach and hot water.

Sorry kiddo, she needs to see a doctor for sure about this. If left untreated it can get nasty. Pinworms arent her fault... and the doc will explain that to your parents.
If your family cant afford a visit to the doc's, try to find a free clinic in your area that is for kids.

If your Parents are aware enough to be on top of this and you are aware enough to ask for help in her behalf, then you need to disregard your sister's wishes for the sake of her own health. The responsibility to act is with her parents and you need to let them know immediately...No Kidding, I'm sorry they haven't figured it out, but their the ones who can act fast! and that's what's necessary....Okay!

They are not borne, there eggs are digested through mouth. You need to go to the Dr and get a perscription. It was probably from another kid at the playgroud or school. Don't worry they are not deadly. Just annoying and very contagious. Please have her talk to your parents

Pin worms are passed around in the air, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. And, sorry, only a prescription from the Dr. will help her. Your entire family will also have to take the medication because it is air borne.

well just how does she plan on getting rid of them? By 'whining ' them to death?
You KNOW what she needs to do. Tell her to do it.
