WEC was awesome, as much as I love Joe Rogan, Frank Mir was a fantastic commentator, I think he called like 4-5 fights, it was almost like the fighters were listening to him when he talked about openings, I was very impressed. And I know some of the UFC fighters could put a beating on some of those guys but the UFC guys need to take a page out of these younger, lighter fighters book because those were some of the best most action packed fights Ive seen, to be honest the WreCAGE show and Live production was as good if not better than UFC 71 and almost as good as Pride 33.
Pride was definatly my favorite as the environment was more comparable to the olympics than professional wrestling which is the direction the UFC is heading, unforunatly it doesn't look like there will be anymore PrideFC productions.
UFC is putting together the best fights and match-ups right now and that has to excite everyone, Im totally pumped that Chuck and Wandy will finally get to tee off! I've always like Rogan's commentary although he does tend to get off subject at times, but I've never been a fan Goldy.
WEC since this is the first WEC event Ive seen I have very high hopes, exciting fights, exciting fighters, they all seem to have skills in most aspects of the game and can only see bright future's for all the fighters I witnessed on the card. Ive been hearing alot about the California Kid Urijah Faber and it was good to see him live up to the hype, I think he's ready to face a top guy like Kid Yamamoto. I love Frank Mir as a commentator probably my favorite of any promotion and I like that I dont even remeber the other guys name, he said just enough to keep the pace of the show going but managed to remain invisible in contrast to the action and atmosphere that was the event. Very impressed nothing but high hopes for the WEC.

if you look at the top mma sites the debate of Pride vs. UFC will never end. Both have great fighters and both are great organizations. I don't think you can narrow it down specifically to who is better with those two.
i'd have to say that the WEC is not as high level as the UFC or Pride. Its great for up and comers and i'd have to say currently the best for the extra little guys (145 and under). An organization that gives the WEC a run for its money though is King Of The Cage. You should look into that organization as well.

Seeing how Pride and the WEC is owned by UFC it really doesnt matter. The WEC is a farm league if you will for UFC talent even though they claim to run as a "competition" to UFC its really a minor league for them. All Pride has to show is Fedor the greatest heavyweight in the world other than than all of Prides good fighters are heading for the UFC since they are all one now.

Who cares? It's MMA and they're all good. And in the end, they're now owned by Zuffa and basically one unit company.
Pride however is having all their talent taken away. I am not sure where Fedor is going to fight, but even Wanderlei Silva and Shogun are headed to UFC. Though i will say Pride still has the better light weights. Also, i heard Paulo Filho is going to UFC or WEC.
And the one thing WEC has is its 145 division.... Faber. Razor Rob is good too.
All in all, its MMA.

Pride FC all the way, but the UFC bought them and there status is kind of in limbo. UFC fans do not understand the genius of an open weight tournament and a 10 minute first round. There was this time when American Rulon Gardner an Olympic Gold medalist in wrestling fought Hideki Yoshida an Olympic gold medalist in judo, it was not the greatest fight in the world but to see gold medalist matched up like that was something no other organization in the world but Pride would have the balls to do.

Pride FC is being dismantled as of this week, and it was owned by the UFC, WEC is also owned by the UFC.
All that consider we have to say that UFC is best, because they just kill the competition, the other organizations (k-1 and bodog) don't compare.

I would choose PRIDE FC just based on the showmanship. The shows held in Japan are huge. If you watch, the take place in super-sized stadiums where fans actually know what's going on. The fans there are amazing, they don't BOO the fighters like UFC fans do. Most UFC fans just want to see a brawl. The PRIDE fans knew what was going on. Much more respectful

DOES IT MATTER!!!! its grown men kicking the crap out of each other!!!! really though as stated before they are all owned by the same company. but there are a lot more out and televised. IFL is a team-based league that is on fox-sports every now and again. also K-1. that is a really good one. its more kickboxing though. but all in all UFC is the top dog in the US. spike TV has a reality show called "the ultimate fighter" which im sure you have heard of that is great. but like i said cant go wrong with any of them.

i like pride because they have open wieght tournaments. eventhough a few pride fighters lost in the ufc i still think they have the overall talent. rampage just beat the ice man for the ufc ligh heavyweight championship. if the ice man won he would have fought pride's dan henderson. pride has better stikers as well with wanderlei silva, fedor, antonio naguera just to name a few. the main guy is chuck who just lost to pampage jackson.
