No, why should I lose some more rights just to catch illegal foreign nationals?

Just penalize employers who hire illegals. It's against the law already to hire illegals. Why aren't the laws enforced??

yes, I have to show ID for everything I do from seeing my own Dr. to the testing center for my blood work. Why is it that we that have Id are asked for it at every turn, but when illegals have to they can have no Id, or the Matriculation card from a foreign country and no one objects. And if they do it's on the side of the illegals, because they say its discriminate against them. Get real when is it wrong to call an illegal, illegal

Yes. And it would make identity theft and welfare fraud much more difficult.
My biggest concern is justifiably shared with many other people - just how secure would all of this information be in one-stop, national data bank? The government doesn't exactly have a great reputation when it comes to computer data security - and a central data bank might well be ripe pickings for any hacker - and that's not a very comforting feeling.

Yes I would. I think that since the illegals are here and not going anywhere that at least we should have some means to track them. For those illegals that committ serious crimes aside from crossing the border, like murder, rape, burglary, at least we would know how to trace them because we sure don't now!! Secondly I think they should be able to have licenses and car insurance because even though we are denying them licences they are still driving, and without insurance, they are getting into wrecks and we are stuck paying for it ourselves. I know the US doesn't want to cater to them anymore than they already do but if we are all realistic and know that 12 million people aren't going anywhere, we should work with it.

I favor a national ID card for immigrants and NON-immigrants. not for USA citizens.

there is too many different types of immigration id cards that even our border guards have a difficult time keeping track of them.

It is ridiculous and provides a opportunity for fraudulent documentation to thrive.

we should eliminate the multitude of current alien ID cards and issue 1 singe tamper proof card that is easily verified for all legal aliens.

It isnt like anyone who is legal and legit isnt already tracked in multiple ways. I dont have a problem with a national ID card.

For those of you having difficulty getting thru to your senator, here is the 800 # paid for by the Mexican Amnesty Activists:

800-882-2005

This will get you directly to your senator unlike the #'s available to the US Citizen!

Press 1 when you hear a Spanish message, then Press 1 again to be transferred to your senior senator's office

OR

Press 2 when you hear a Spanish message, and you'll be transferred to your junior senator's office!

You get through immediately and the call is paid for by the enemy!

i would not, because its another sham. an effortless waste of money. what would it do that the driver's license or social security would not. illegals cant obtain a driver or social security. to obtain those u need legal documents, and those items are always requested of anywhere u go.working or even by police, when would u need a national id.
