Depends on why you are depressed. Without knowing if it is a serious thing or just a passing feeling I suggest which ever one of these you feel sounds right at this time.
1. talk to a friend or someone that you trust if you are upset about some event in your life
2. visit a friend and do something fun if you are just feeling down.
3. get a good nights sleep. Sometimes people are depressed because they are not sleeping well.
4. everything looks darker in the night. If you are depressed at night, read a favorite book, the bible helps some people, something light and fun to help you slip off to sleep and you will be better in the morning. While you read or in place of reading, turn on the TV in the background, with a comedy show. Get in bed and turn off the lights, you will fall asleep and the tv will go off if you have a timer.
5. chocolate has an anti-depressant in it, so this is why many women eat it when depressed. Or drink a hot cup of coco before doing #4.
6. when you are depressed, be good to yourself. Love and nurture yourself and be around people who make you feel good. Don't 'force' yourself to do anything. On the other hand don't get too far behind in your studies either. But take a break, do something fun.
7. the person who said to go for a walk is right too. Any form of exercise will raise the endorpehens in your brain. If it is late at night, before you have the hot chocolate and while you are watching tv, do some leg lifts on your bed.

If it's depression you should put on some happy music or watch a funny movie or get together with friends and go out for some fun. Or you could sit quietly and write down things that make you smile/laugh and the times you laughed til you cried. If there are children in your life, spend some time writing a letter to them or write a story with pictures. Go visit a shut in and bring them some little gift, like a rose or some lotion. Hope you brighten up and I pray you never get clinical depression. God bless you.

I hope you choose option 6. Go and visit your friends, talk, laugh. Very important to laugh. Rent anything and laugh. Using force (options 1,2, and 4) rarely work, so I'm told. Oh, option 3 - just go to joke section - maybe stop thinking for 10 minutes?

Laptop Pope has a valid idea to reduce stress... LOL

If you have a test study if not then do something just for you. I like to take a bubble bath when I feel like that, or make some tea and read a trashy novel a mystery or adventure. It helps to loose yourself in something totally unrelated to what has you down.

Turn on some really fun, lively music and dance like a crazy woman. Don't think about technique or how you look--just throw yourself around the house and *dance*. Works for me. It's good to get out of your own head sometimes.

Don't read anything about religions or religious history. It's depressing. Find something with some humor.

Take a walk. Seriously. Exercise helps with depression. Another good thing is to talk to God. So while you're taking a walk, talk to God.

Dye your hair red. Oh wait, that would make ME happy. Hmmmm.
Maybe 3. But only answer questions that are incredibly stupid and utterly pointless... In other words, mine!
