I'm a male, with pretty shaggy brown hair right now. Every time I get it cut, wherever I go, it looks like utter crap. I don't know.. I cannot seem to get it styled correctly. It looks just so flat and bowl-cutesque. Is there a certain style or something that I could tell a barber or stylist to cut it like?

You can print out the photos & bring them w/ you to the barber.

Well if your trying to go for somewhat short you can tell them to do a 6 gage on the side and then cut the top of it about 1 1/2 inch from the scalp and then blend the sides.. maybe run a razor over the top to give it a layered spikey feel. If your going for longer look a layered cut with a razor might work well. Good luck!

Look through pics in a magazine & bring one with you that you like. That way your stylist will have a clearer idea of what it is you want.

the more expensive the haircut, the better the outcome, generally.

(setting aside the money issue)
