I totally agree with you. Humanity in general is WAY too judgemental. I try to tell them they're wrong and tell them about God at the same time. When I comment on one of their questions, I try not to bash them. But at the same time, they bash us. So my instinct to protect kicks in. Yeah, I know get to the point. I will try to not to bash them.

Brother, I agree with you. We are not here to fight with atheists. However, some athiest respond with answers and questions because they do have the full understading of salvation and they are coming from a worldly point of view. Some of them, not all are trying to debate a spiritual issue from the flesh. So, when you do give them scriptures from the bible, some of them are offended by it. We try to gain people in love, but if the Word of God does not penetrate their hearts, then their nothing else left to do to gain them, except prayer. My point is this, clarity opens the door for understanding, but if clarity is not present it makes some issues worse. You have to contend for the gospel, in hopes that God will open people's heart and minds to it.

I agree with you, but also note how well Jesus used mocking when it was the best available response. (You brood of vipers, your father is Satan, that kind of thing).
I think everyone has a different witnessing style. The truth is a sword, and sometimes the quickest cut hurts the least.

You're right. Sadly, when people think they're right, they want to rub it in, and that's why you get such vitriolic people as Bob Jones.
I'm a strong Christian, and the temptation I fall to most often is to be mean or disdainful about non-Christians.

Jesus jousted with the Pharsees and when he was young with elders in the Temple.
I agree, not to slice off an ear, but there is nothing wrong with using a sword to put the fear of God in them with your jousting skills.
How else does one deal with an atheist, but to put the fear of God into them!
I'll admit, we are pretty pathetic at times. We aren't quite the artistans Jesus was. But we are learning by doing and training.

I am not here to bash anyone. I am here to answer those questions that I can that are sincere questions, seeking answers. Those that are just posted to stir up hatred, I don't reply to.
