hmm you used a little g for god, so i would have to say believing in any god is absurd,

BUT not believing in the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD - Who created everything IS absolutely absurd!!

then you ask why?

if you can't look at the wonders of creation and see that everything has a special design and something that is designed must have a designer!

The One True Living GOD is that designer! !

i mean it, have you really looked at the wonders of the created earth and the animals and the humans in it?

as much as modern science has tried they can't duplicate what GOD our Creator did! !

some people try to say it was a big bang and / or evolution - that we evolved from monkeys ,,,,,,,, if so then why is there still monkeys so that we would know the difference???

NO its impossible for any of mankinds ideas / theory's to be possible to explain anything APART from the truth of >>

There really is a LIVING TRUE GOD who is Spirit and has been from everlasting eternity and will continue to be forever ! !

and no man can change the FACTS ! !

I do not know if I would say absurd. But I see no reason for it.

Of those who answered the other way, most fail you say why.

Of the two that gave a reason, one quotes the bible, the other effectively uses Pascal's wager.

They are going to be in for a nasty shock when they discover that they should have quoted the Koran*, and that Pascal's wager only works if there is only one god on offer.

* Or any of the thousands of other holy books that have an equal chance of being right.

No more than belief in a theory without any linking evidence to prove it as fact.

Man evolved from apes.
All life started with ooze.
Our precise solar system just happened.

What kind of faith does it take to believe in that stuff?

No, because He will judge you. In order to serve Him you must first believe in Him.

Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

To those who reject Jesus Christ, I'm sure it is. However, when Jesus returns to call us to Him, in the near future, those who consider themselves enlightened will see the folly of their unbelief, just like those who knocked desperately on the door of Noah's ark as the rain was falling.
