I don't know...

I just don't know. That's a question i have asked myself a few times, and i've tried to get into the whole christian way of life.. I just can't find myself that interested in it. My mother used to take me to church every Sunday, not been in about 8 months or something. I tried to get out of it every week, the people at most churchs i went to seemed to be quite to be honest up themselves. The people and their way of life isn't one i enjoy.. I have babbled and i know this isnt the 'right' answer and slightly off topic but whatev. Always nice to have a little story eh

And in response to someone down there who said that it's a spiritual awakening or something or other that happens to you and you just have to wait and accept Him, well isn't that God's choice then. What if He never 'chooses' us in our lifes? It's not our fault that we haven't expirenced this, and because of that we don't get to go to 'heaven'?

It is all about having the one center in your life. While I am Christan pastor I base my life around the teaching of the Bible. My belief is faith filled. Such as the same faith you have knowing that your car might start in the morning, or you will wake up the next morning. is there proof well only personal experience. In any religion that is all there is. Science is not even exact because man has made the calulations and the math it is based on. So really the only way of knowing what happens when we leave this earth is when it happens. God bless and this was a wonderful question.

Some can call it brainwashing or fundamentalism if they want. All I know is that my God and Savior are real. I have no doubt in God or the Word of God (the Bible) and know that salvation is only available through Jesus Christ.

Out of an infinite amount of answers 2 + 2 only equals 4. How hard is it to comprehend that there can be an absolute truth?

Christians believe in Christ based on the evidence, all others follow false gods despite the evidence.

Not everyone is "raised a Christian" in fact I think that is impossible, because to BE a Christian you must confess the Lord, and have a relationship with Him, a personal one... the one your gramma has won't get it... It's a Spiritual awakening and unless you have the experience, you're just unqualified to comment about it. Christians have a spiritual experience with God, and they KNOW He exists...no question about it... no amount of mockery, insults, ignorant digs... will change that experience.
That is why you "can't quite understand how"... you won't be able to until it happens to you, and in order for it to happen to you you have to be receptive and open minded. Your placing human limits or a spiritual issue.
Blessings =)

Actually, God is by far the most kind god. Christains don't have to go through a never ending cycle of karma and do dharma. All we have to do is accept Him as our Lord and Savior and we go to Heaven for all eternity. And while we're on Earth, why not tell other people about His wonderful love and sacrifice? He saved us from burning in Hell, so the question is why NOT choose Him?

Plain & Simple... FREE WILL >>> We have the right to chose who or what we believe. Some refuse to believe why Jesus was really sent here... To have us perfect ourselves - giving us free will to make mistake, learn from them, open up to the goodness we all have within us... God is not mean, or to be feared. MAN has changed what God's intentions have been all along. The Bible is not about religion!

It isn't a matter of variety or who is "nicer". It is who is real!

God of the Bible is the one true God. The reason I can say this is because all of the Biblical prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100% correct.

What makes you think a nice God is the best God.

A nice man who offers you an ice cream and asks you to get into his car...

A good parent disciplines, sometimes harshly.

A bad parent lets their brat run amuck.
