Do you believe in luck since you do not believe in God?
What would you do in a life and death situation?( won't you at least pray?)
Also what if your wrong about God? What if he truly exist? What would you do or ssy to him in judgement day?

Athiest do not believe in anything they can not see hear or feel. They rely solely on facts and evidence to explain what is around them.

Christians believe in God. Period. And everything that is around us came from him and that he loves us and wants all of us to believe in him so we can go to heaven when we die and be with him forever.

The term atheist stems for old greek philosophy, many a person that has no set tenents or laws to their beliefs. Basically, meaning that they are individualistic in the views of their reality, so even a person that would have a god but not practice an actual religion would have been called an ATHEIST.

Over the centuries, the defintion has been revised. In Christiandom, atheist is a person that does NOT believe in god (the christian god). Christians don't like individualistic beliefs this is evident throughout the history of christianity. Heretic original meant 'free thinker'. Most christians like to view atheists into one sterotype though. To a Christian, an atheist is a person that defies god (at least the Christian version) and is into evolution. Hheheeee which is hardly the case.

Its not like atheism is a set religion nor do all atheists hold to the same definitions to their reality.

Okay, first atheists are not a group of people. Atheism is a trait possessed in the sense that you could find people who have blue eyes. Atheism only makes sense relative to theism and is a negative word. It makes no sense to call someone an atheist anymore than it would be to call someone an atoothfairiest, or an awitchcrafter or an aSantaist, or an apolytheist, or an acargo-cultist. Atheism has a name because it is viewed as a threat to theism. Atheists, by definition, possess no religion and it has only what meaning you personally ascribe to it. The universe just is, it does not have any meaning, except the meaning you impute onto it.

I've seen some answers here that Atheists don't worship any gods... what about how much time you spend on the computer? How about the way some view money? Or alcohol or any other "thing" TV, etc.

I think it's impossible to generalize a definition when so many people have different views on what being an Atheist means when there isn't a "guide book" to refer to.

I could say an Atheist is just someone who was turned off by corporate worship and has turned away from God because of it. But this of course doesn't apply to all atheists.

It's an impossible question with an impossible answer.

Atheism means you don't believe in any gods. That's it. Most atheists don't have any religion, since just about any religion you could name believes that there's at least one god. There are a few religions that don't, very few. Zen Buddhism, for instance, has no gods.

Most atheists have no religion. This doesn't mean that individual atheists don't have their own philosophies, but there is no official atheist philosophy. All that's meant by being an atheist is not believing in any gods, that's it.

Atheism is not a religion :)

Being an atheist (for me) simply means I do not believe that any god(s) exist. I am just a "normal" person, living my life with hopes and dreams and fears, raising my kids and doing the best I can. Just like everyone else. But without faith in a god.

Hope that helps.

I'm neither, but I'l lanswer.

Atheism is a belief in no gods. Nothing more. anything added onto tat is personal preference. A good reverse is a theist is one who believes in gods [whether Christian, Pagan, or etc.]

There are a few atheistic religions, such as Zen Buddhism, and Satanism [look it up if you're confused. Church of Satan is the best place].

Atheism is just a super category that implies one thing, nothing else.

A Christian is believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God and was born of the virgin Mary, lived his life as a man, was crucified for the world's sin, died but arose from the dead on the 3rd day and is alive today in heaven. You may have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ if you wish. All you have to do is ask forgivness of your sin and ask Jesus into your heart and life and live according to his teachings in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts of the New Testament.
Definition - Christian:
Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
Showing a loving concern for others; humane.

Atheism just means lack of belief in any gods.
My purpose? You mean what is the purpose of life? The greatest irony of all is that there is no purpose, you have to create one.
I believe in lots of things, just not religion. The Innate goodness of humanity for one.
Nope, I don’t believe in luck, no such thing.
If I am wrong about YOUR god you mean and he does exist? I’d be very happy with my decision not to worship him. I’d tell him to “Bring it on biotch”. You don’t seem to realize part of the reason I reject the Christian god has to do with morals, I find him to be malevolent.

Wow. I don't even want to credit your question.

Please read. Go out into the world. The great majority of people DON'T BELIEVE IN THE SAME RELIGION AS YOU. That includes theists and non-theists alike.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm insulting you. It just hurts when I see an intelligent person not use their 'god given' brain.
