I don't know if this would be a good flower for a wedding but it would be different. I think the Lilac is the best smelling flower in the world. If a bush is growing in a neighborhood you can smell it a block away. But they only bloom at certain times a year so it may be a question of what is available to you when you get married.

Jasmine is a very flowery scent, but beautiful.
Lavender is warm and comforting, used for relaxing
There are some fabulous greens that smell great too, like eucalyptus and juniper which give off a natural, green, woodsy smell.
Have you been by Bath and Body Works? Do you have one near you? They sell those oil diffusers you use a tealight with - that would allow you to use whatever flowers you wanted for arraingements even if they didn't have a strong scent - but you could still fill the room with a floral scent (in case you're budget conscious)

I love lilacs they are so summery :) If you can't decide I would go to a florist shop and take a walk around and literally smell the flowers. You should have an idea by the time you leave. Good luck and congrats!!

Lilacs are amazing if they are in bloom during the time of your wedding. I was at a wedding once where some of the guests just went and picked some, then they were used as centerpieces and in bouquets. They smell great and they are cheap!

Roses or your favorite flower.
You can always have your florist spray them with your favorite fragance for a long lasting effect, it could cost you a little more but it will be well worth it.
