to calculate this, you must also tell us what fuel source is used and the price in your area. "Full blast" tells us nothing useful. one would have to know the exact amount of fuel used.
Further more, if your fries are taking thirty minutes to cook, you are doing something wrong.
Also are you going to include the cost of the mandatory drink with the fries, the doctors visits when your cholesterol is too high, the fuel to get to the restaurant, the time spent getting there, the tip if you eat in a sit down place, and the stress of dealing with pimply faced kids that can't even count your change back to you?
Are you going to consider the quality of the finished product at all?
As stated, the question is technically unanswerable. You are probably better off staying home, not dealing with traffic, taking the risk of auto accidents, car jackings and the like.

Well, it would depend on if you had potatoes and oil already at home, and if you had gas in the car to go to the restraunt. I mean, what if the restraunt were an hour away? And how about salt, did you figure in the cost of the salt? I think that fries at home are better in flavor, but then again if you WALK to the restraunt that is so far then you might burn off the extra calories of the bad trans fats at the restaraunt. then again most restraunts do their own dishes which is great beucase you would not have to do the clean up, but then again it snows in Wyoming at the weirdest times so if you live there (Or in Vermont!) it is better to make them at home. Oven fries are great if you make them with olive oil and rosemary, I think you would like them. But then again the restraunt would be fun if you were playing poker with your firends, and you know how poker playing friends like to eat restraunt fries! So. I think it is a toss up.

First - no restaurant I've ever been to can top my fries - the closest believe it or not is properly prepared Ore Ida Crinkle fries but mine are much better than those. If I want good fries I'll stay home but I do like to be waited on hand and foot in a decent restaurant so $2.00 to $5.00 for fries makes it worth it.

home is cheaper in cost.. but.. How much an hour are you worth? If it will take 30-40 min of your valuable time, it may be cheaper to buy them made at a fast food restaurant.
