If so, aren't a lot of religious folks going against the teachings? Or do they think everyone is asking them questions with their eyes?

No no, I know it's supposed to be spread around and junk, but only when asked for. Barging into someone's house and forcing them to sit down, shut up, and listen to the bible is a no-no, no?

I keep hearing about how you atheists all read the Bible, and know it better than Christians do.
But I don't see that in your questions....
Jesus gave us directions to teach the gospel message to everyone in the world...
Of course, He did also tell us that there comes a time to wipe the dust from our feet, but I am very loathe to do that.
I guess I take after my Father...I am not willing that anyone should perish.

EDIT:
"Barging into someone's house and forcing them to sit down, shut up, and listen to the bible"?????
Is there alot of this happening somewhere?????
If someone is barging into your house without your permission, you need to call the police, Hun. If you live in the United States, that is illegal. Nobody can force you to sit down, shut up, and listen to them read the Bible...well, unless you are a minor living with your parents, anyhow.
I'm not prepared to argue with your Mom and Dad about whether or not they have the right to force you to listen to anything they care to read to you....

Yes, the Lord said to spread the gospel. He did not say force it on people, because "force" is not of God. The Lord said do not cast your pearls before swines, lest they turn on you and rend you to pieces. So, if a person does not want to heart it, don't share it with them. But later, you will not be able to say to God, I did not know. God sent Jonah to a rebellious people the Ninehvites who were living in sin. If Jonah had not went to preach the message of repentance to the Ninehvites, there city and people would be destroyed. It is the same today, if God fearing churches close their doors in their communities, all kinds of pestilence, death, disease, and destruction will enter into that community, because there is no longer any one to intercede for that community. So, the gospel must be preached with peace and love.

After his resurrection, Jesus commanded his disciples to go out and spread the faith to all nations of the world. This has been taken on by some Christain as the Great Commission as Jesus can only return to Earth once every one in the world has heard the word. They see it as their duty to at least tell ypou about Jesus. It is then up to you if you choose to believe.

I think you may have believed too many of the lies spread here to cause trouble.
No religion I know of uses these tactics. ALL I have ever heard of are to say the least, polite.
The only forceful tactic I ever heard of were the performance of a Mormon many years ago. And I think he was sick.

No,He said in Matthew,(at the end) "Go out into all the world and make disciples and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."
Not too private.
The parable of the Sower ,teaches we should go out and spread the word like seed.Jesus said (in essence) "Some will take and some won't"
Never did he say keep it quite.Matthew 6 says' do your prayers and charity in private, don't broadcast it or God won't reward you.'

No, exactly the opposite. Its called The Great Commission. We are to actively spread the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ. We are to speak it in all the world, that all may hear and be saved!

No - He said to go out into the world and spread the Good News.
Many will be lost without coming to faith - His commandment was to reach out to the world that he came so we could be forgiven and share eternity with HIm, and He knew that message would have to be actively spread.
