I htink omniscence and omnipotent is a good one too. as in, can he change the future if he can already see it, and if he can, then he cant really see the future (the whole plan thing). Now, again referring to the plan thing, you wont get anything outta praying, if your prayer screws with his plan, you think he is gonna change the whole thing? and if it doesn't, why wont you have it anyway?

there was actually a study conducted on whether or not prayer does anything. There were 3 groups of people recovering from an illness or an ailment, one that was not being prayed for and didnt know about it, one that was being prayed for and didnt know about it, and one that was being prayed for and did know about it. There were certain churches and congregations assigned to pray for them. Now there was no difference in recovery time and compications between the group that was being prayed for and the group that wasn't and both didnt know about it. There was a difference in the gorup that was being prayed for and did know about it, but it isnt what you would expect. They actually had a slower and more complicated recovery.

Friend, God is Omnipresent WITHOUT ANY DOUBT. The House we live in is filled with different smells, different or diverse conversations and NOISE. The MIND is like a Monkey and to keep it Still for even a few Seconds it is impossible. The atmosphere in Home /house will not allow the Mind to become still for a moment ant THINK ABOUT GOD. But in Temples people will not talk nonsense. There will be some divine songs being played, divine Mantras being chanted and the Bells ringing sending the Divine Vibrations. as you said rightly'' probably there are certain divine vibrations/radiations in sacred places due to the sacred chants/rituals / the deity installed in the temple/religious place.'' While doing Pradikshinam (Circumlocution ) we think OF GOD. There is a YANTRA UNDER THE GOD and the Daily chanting of mantras with SISWARAM , CREATE DIVINE VIBRATIONS. There is every possibility to keep our minds on HIM with frequent visits to the temples. Sitting in temples , seeing the the moorthies (idols) that served the Lord in their lives and hearing the Mantras and ringing Bells , the Fragrance in the area and the power of the great maharshis that have trodden on the place make you more capable to control the MIND. So we Visit the temples.

Yes because God likes the smell of them.

Revelation 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

The purpose of prayer is not to prove that God can do anything. It is a show of faith, and a means of deepening the relationship. God already knows what is going to happen. But we need to trust and depend on Him for the answer to our question or problem. And conversation, which is what prayer should be, produces intimacy between us and God.

Praying to God is really just having a conversation with Him. He desires a relationship with each and everyone of us. Daily talking and listening for His response is a part of that relationship. As it is in any relationship. Yes, He knows what you desire and are unsure of. It's all about the relationship!

God is also love and loves His children. He desires to have a relationship with us. So, we talk to Him and hear from Him. This would be prayer.

If you think of every thought, as a prayer thought, and you are one to pray with love, peace on earth, and for every human to reach his/her highest good in this world, imagine how wonderful it is to have a mind and a heart full of blessings, and a wonderful life, follows wonderful thoughts.

yes, in a way......praying is a way to put your mind in a state so that you can have a connection with that presents, but i don't think you have to do it a certian way or ritual...whatever works best to get you into that state.
