I do not know where did you get the idea that scientists are spending millions to disprove the existence of God. They spend millions trying to find a better solutions to daily human problems. Whether God exist or not is the least of their concerns. Your are now enjoying the use of the internet which if they have not invented, your kind of question would only reach your family or neighbors. More than a long distance phone call, you can even now see whom your are talking to thousands of miles away. Had anyone of their inventions clearly indicated the proof of the absence of God? It even made your religious campaigns made easliy spread across the continents because of the scientists inventions and innovations on communications alone. What about the way you transport yourself from one place to another in a much faster way? Did anyone of the scientists say that, "O,
I have beaten God in reaching you fast."
For all you know, it is through the scientific way of modern communications you may even be made aware of your awaited coming of Christ. Without it, the news that he came down in Australia may reach your ear at the time he already had gone back up.

Scientists don't try to prove God doesn't exist. Most of them either don't care or don't consider religious ideals part of their study. Each scientist, as they are just people, has something that really interests them. They go to the government, colleges, private corporations etc and ask for money to study what they are interested in, or someone offers them money to study something or invent something. Many of our best advances come as an accident while we are studying something else. There are a few pseudo-scientists who actually try to demonstrate God as a physical phenomenon but they are usually commissioned by religious fanatics and any data that doesn't support what the freaks want is quickly discarded or thrown out.
If you really want scientists to cure AIDS and cancer, maybe try telling Congress that stem-cell research should be fully funded and the moratorium removed.
Have you ever actually even seen a scientist? You seem awfully opinionated and sadly uneducated about true science.

Generally, scientists DON'T spend time trying to disprove God. Most are working on the problems of the world, or at least to meet the expectations of their employers.

Don't know much about science, huh? You obviously don't understand it or evolution. Try taking a science course someday. You'll learn that the supernatural is not studied by science and that humans and monkeys came from a common ancestor. You might actually learn what that means, too.

What have YOU done to progress humanity today?
