Actually, Christians know that they aren't any better than anyone else.
Rather, we are merely beggars telling other beggars where to find bread.

You're ranting!
You're judging everyone as a group, not as individuals.
You may have run across a few individuals who claim to be Christian, but have conveyed the wrong message to you, or have been judgemental or have some other trait that is not Christ like. But...a true Christian, which I have met many here, and have many as personal friends, are truly beautiful, kind hearted, generous, loving, compassionate, and wonderful persons, and without an ego.
You should judge each person individually, and not lump all
( so called) Christians together and label them egotistic.
If you are looking for people to agree with your statement, I'm sure you'll get some who will, but as a Christian person, I'm simply stating that your anger will accomplish nothing, and maybe you should just get yourself off the computer, and pray for some peace!

If they act simple like the Buddhist do, then your question would be "why the Buddhist could not show some self-respect and always act meek and humble as if they do not know anything? What an egoless dork!?
Why do you blame the new generations for the atrocities of the Old? Does your neighbor still blame you for the mistakes your great grandfather might have done?

Shame on you. If you look at this site, it actually looks vice versa. The athiests seem to be a little immature here and they (though they won't admit it) are thinking that they are better than us. And when was the last time a sane Christian burned someone at the stake?
Seriously, grow up.

so we're the Blessings gang? paradox.
and I have reasons to believe I'm better, but God causes your ego to shrink if it gets too big. I'm not better than anyone.

We follow Christ. Did you ever check out His ego? Christ said that He is God. Christ said that I am a daughter of God. I belong to a Royal Family and within me lives the Holy Spirit.
Christ said that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and so are you. Accept who He says you are and be saved.

That's exactly what the devil wants to plant in your mind. Your thoughts not the thoughts of other caring and praying Christians.

Some do, some don't. What makes a closed-minded, judgmental, prejudiced non-Christian any better than a closed-minded, judgmental, prejudiced Christian?

Some of them do. However, any person in any group can get a distorted sense of importance.
