Honestly, what's in it for them?

It's one thing for the paleontologists, biologist, molecular geneticists, etc, to support evolution. We all know they're just interested in keeping those grants coming so they can try and cure diseases, discover how mankind developed intelligence, language, culture etc. But, outside all these self-serving, ulterior motives, why do OTHER scientists from totally unrelated fields look at evolution and say, "yes, this makes sense." There are tens of thousands you know.

What's in it for them?

Your question spans a thought, your saying, the truth of evolutionary theory is not as important as the number of people that believe in it. Doesn't Atheistic thinking have you to not believe and trust, rather to know the reality of thought and it doesn't matter who doesn't accept and except those facts? You are not saying how many of those people are Christian. I accept parts of evolution Does that put me in that same group?

The scientist you quote is not even within the existence sciences. He's an astronomer. "Paranormal researcher" does not depend as a scientist, both. I do not know what creationist internet site you copied the relaxation from, and I do not care. You will have to be studying textbooks on evolution in the event you desire solutions for your questions, rather of posting right here. About the attention: The quote is taken out of context. Darwin replied the seeming crisis he announced. The paragraph keeps, Yet cause tells me, that if countless gradations from a ultimate and intricate eye to at least one very imperfect and sensible, each and every grade being priceless to its possessor, can also be proven to exist; if extra, the attention does range ever so reasonably, and the variants be inherited, that is surely the case; and if any variant or amendment within the organ be ever priceless to an animal underneath exchanging stipulations of existence, then the concern of believing that a ultimate and intricate eye would be shaped via common determination, despite the fact that insuperable via our creativeness, can infrequently be regarded truly. How a nerve involves be touchy to mild, infrequently issues us greater than how existence itself first originated; however I would possibly comment that a few details make me suspect that any touchy nerve could also be rendered touchy to mild, and in addition to these coarser vibrations of the air which produce sound. (Darwin 1872, 143-one hundred forty four) And there are lots of transitional fossils. The evolutionary historical past of the pony household and the elephant household may be very good illustrated within the fossil list. You might recognise that in the event you learn any "evolutionist" books.

What you mean like Physicists, Chemists, Geologists, Cosmetologists?

Well simply because their fields as well as others points to an earth and a Universe that is very old.

All science points to an age to the Universe which directly contradicts the literal interpretation of the Bible.

As such you are left with three possibilities.

1. God dose not exist and they are right
2. God dose exist but he did not write the bible or it should not be taken litterly
3. God dose exist but "tests" our faith by giving us a 4,000 year old text and then lays out empirical evidence that shows the exact opposite

There is a LOT of support for evolution. Here's what I believe, if you want to read it.

God set the universe in motion. A day to God in Genesis probably isn't a literal 24 hours, after all, what is a day to someone who is infinite? It is obvious that evolution happens, as my Biology teacher says, everyone is attractive in some way, because both of your parents were attractive enough to not only survive, but meet and in some way convince the other to have sex with them. Those that couldn't, didn't, and their genes weren't passed on. I just don't think it is merely a coincidence that life appeared on th Earth in the exact order as written in the Bible. Plants, Sealife, Landlife, Airllife, Human Beings. Anyone who totally denies the existance of evolution is stupid (sorry, no other word for it), as is anyone who denies the possibility that God exists.

Because it fits with every godamn field of scientific study you can think of. Religious "scientists" jsut grab all the evidence they can find and either distorted or misintepret it to fit their already found conclusions a.k.a. the bible.
Evolution just fits.
People coming out of dirt and ribs and putting billions of animal in an ocean liner made of wood because it rained for 40 days out of thin air does not FIT the evidence.

We scientists and non-scientists are capable of rational thought and understand that evolution is reality. There are huge amounts of evidence for evolution, and no evidence for any kind of "intelligent design" or creationism.

because the theory of evolution isn't wrong.... there is physical fossil evidence to support it. nothing is in it for them--- except the truth.
