I am going to answer your question truthfully so it might offend you, but I will not lie for anyone. God expects me to be wholly truthful in everything. I do not say anything to you to be rude or contentious but simply to share what I see as I see it.
You have it all figured out! Either you are wrong about a magical fairy and there is really a God who will judge you for refusing to repent and turn from sin to Christ or you are right and you have nothing to fear.
Since your current belief doesn't lend itself to repentance to God, who is not believed to be a magical fairy by those in the know, it would serve no purpose for you to "return" to Christianity. I am wondering if you ever were there in the first place, because all those who have backslidden from Christ that I ever talked to have never shown disrespect for Him as you have by calling Him a magical fairy.
The things you enjoy now you should enjoy to the fullest and get all you can because if Christianity in its truest sense is right you will have no pleasure in eternity.
The things you are dependent on for happiness however are very fragile and not a solid basis to reject God. Think about it - Money can be lost very quickly, a job can be taken away quickly as well, while helping others is admirable if it isn't done to the glory of God it won't help you in the judgment, and finally any member of your family including you could die at any time and even whole families have died in car accidents, floods and other ways.
Whether you believe in an afterlife or not will also have a strong effect on what your children believe. If you don't want to serve the Lord that is your business, but if you are wrong and your own children follow your course they will also deny God and if the Christian concept of God is correct they will join you facing God's judgment instead of His mercy which is still extended to all of you while you have breath in your body.
From a Biblical perspective if you are wrong you will have a temporary respite in this life and then spend eternity being punished for your rebellion against God. Your money, job, family, and everything you value will literally go up in smoke.
Worse yet you lose your children as well, and maybe you even
lead others to the same destination because they believed what you do by your influence. SEEMS LIKE A HEAVY PRICE TO PAY FOR A LITTLE EARTHLY PLEASURE AND
SECURITY. I would highly recommend that you research out your options more thoroughly before it is eternally too late.
AFTER READING ALL THE ANSWERS YOU RECEIVED I AM NOT SURPRISED TO SEE THE THUMBS DOWN ON THOSE WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU AND WHO ANSWERED YOU FROM THEIR HEART. THOSE WHO ARE ENCOURAGING YOU TO KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING WITH NO CHANGE ARE NOT FRIENDS OF THE KIND YOU NEED - THEY ARE ALL HEADED FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR REBELLION AND ARE WANTING TO DRAG YOU ALONG. The people who told you
what you may not have wanted to hear are the ones who are honestly concerned for your eternal welfare. Listen to them.

Hey, so you're a good person. That's good for society, since we're not having to spend 45000 or more on keeping you in prison with other non-believers. But being a good person has nothing to do with achieving salvation, nor does salvation guarantee anyone a better life temporally (in this world), only spiritually.
Nowhere in the new covenant, under Jesus Christ, does it say that our salvation is based on one's behavior. In fact, the NT says that "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Salvation is based on one thing, and one thing only: acceptance and surrender to Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior. You can be the best man on the earth, doing every good deed, but without Christ you will perish with unbelievers. God's rules not mine.
Check out this simple explanation I've cited below, then go to a topical Bible and look under salvation and eternal life. This is a good question, and you deserve a good answer, but you can find out most of this for yourself. If you once were a Christian, its clear you misunderstood Christ's message. Many churches don't even know it or preach it. I'll give you a little sample verse, but there are many more:
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith,- and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God- NOT BY WORKS, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
God bless you in your journey. You'll be back once you understand.

The current life you described is an earthly very temporary life. The average life span is about 80 years or so long. And that is a very short life span.
Now compare those 80 years to eternity, which means never to end.
A life as a Christian will extend well lnto eternity in a wonderful kingom that will pale in comparison with the life you have here. You can't take anything you have with you when you die.
You don't just cease to exist when you die. Your soul does experience a very real afterlife, that once you get to it, you can not change where you ended up, which dying with out having Jesus as your personal Savior, will guarantee a hot spot in hell. Here is a sneak peek for you...
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Jesus loved you enough to lay His life down for you, and suffered emensly so you can have a life with Him in His kingdom. All you have to do is want to recieve it as much as Jesus wants to give it to you. Just invite Him into your heart and life, acknowledging that He is the Son of God, who took your sins to the cross with Him at calvery, was crucified, died, and arose again on the third day, and you shall be saved/ born again. Put God first in your life, and you will have a better life as well as an afterlife you can be proud of!
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
God bless you!

Three very good resons ...
It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26
And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. Luke 12:47

Hhhmmm...returning to christianity? This implies you have left your first love - Yashua, Jesus the Christ. Have you really left Him, or did you ever know Him?
Irrelevant really. Going to church and doing all the things one expects a Christian to do won' change your current life. As you stated, you will simply give up a few minutes of time.
Now, coming to know Yashua in a real and personal way will bring joy unspeakable...or it may make your life worse.
In any case accepting the offer of salvation or rejecting it is your choice...and you will get to live with it through all eternity, whether you believe in an afterlife or not.

I'll tell you how. From that point on, you could stick your fingers in both ears, close your eyes, and yell out, "Lalalalalalala!" at everything that contradicts your beliefs. In other words, you get to be a small child again. And don't forget, you'll be able to quit learning new things about science and just go with the "because it's the will of god" excuse for why things happen.
LOL. Let's see how many thumbs down I can get from this one.

I think alot of people think of God as someone to take their sins, give them their bread, serve them, let them in heaven to enjoy etc.
if that's what being a christian is, then, your life is probably just fine how it is- you're doing decent acts in your life, and as you sow so shall you reap right? as long as you don't become mean and make offenses to God or God's followers, it's just a bad fighting tendency, impelled by hatred. you might just end up becoming those you despise, but in a different way
Better still, deeply contemplate your purpose of life, and pray to God for your path, your path is not neccessarily the christian path which you know of. God is all merciful, and wonderful, and no matter what you say, without God there is emptiness which cannot be fulfilled by all manner of material delights, works, charities, so called flickering love in this world, and in the end very temporary. You are eternal, and are eternally connected to God, as long as you turn away, you won't find TRUE satisfaction.

The afterlife does not depend on your belief. It's like gravity...you can choose not to believe in it, but you are still subject to it's effects.
The fact that your life is good doesn't mean you don't need God. He is not there for us only when we want a better life. As a matter of fact, he doesn't promise us a good life. He promises us salvation.
You are also a sinner in need of a Savior. Your good life and charity do not change this in the least. People like you are less likely to seek God because you are so content. That's too bad...you fall into the lukewarm bunch. Neither hot nor cold...

I'm not Christian so I won't tell you that you should be but it's the whole, 'What's in it for me?' mentality that is a problem. If you don't want to believe in God then that it your choice. Some ppl will never believe but when your life ends you may see things differently and then your 90 mins a week on your lawn will seem pointless.

Biblically, a person should not put their faith in Jesus merely for earthly reasons. Instead, a person who wishes to turn to Christ should do so because they understand that there is a judgment to come -- and no amount of "good deeds" will help a person to pass that judgment.
I actually just explained this in a blog I wrote titled, "What the Heck is "the Gospel". You can check it out here: http://www.James-Gilchrist.com
Hope that helps at least in some small way. :O)
