To ask the question is to answer it.

The more important question is:

What do you peopose to do to reduce overpopulation?

Not really - the most densely populated countries tend to be the poorer countries in the world and have the lowest levels of carbon emissions. Conversely the richer countries that often have a much lower population density are the worst polluters by far.

Compare a very wealthy nation like the US to a very poor nation like Chad. The average US citizen produces 1980 times the amount of greenhouse gases that the average Chadian produces.

There is of course a correlation between population and global warming - if there were no people there would be no anthropogenic global warming at all but that's perhaps not the best solution to the problem.

Global Warming is HUGE myth. Most scientists have dispelled this myth time and time again.

The gases we produce don't even account for .002 of the earth's gases. So, even if we were to try to pollute as much as possible, it would not change the greehouse gases in the slightest.

The earth goes through a natural warming and cooling process over the years. (There were no pollutants when the Ice Age started warming up) In fact, global warming is a good thing. When the earth is on a warming trend, food is plentiful. Global cooling has a negative effect (Ice Age - for example) We just happen to be in a warming cycle at the moment. It's perfectly natural.

Now, this doesn't mean we should pollute or cut down forests for other obvious reasons. But gobal warming due to humans is completely absurd! Do some research and learn science... don't be fooled by the media hype who like to use this stuff as propaganda.

Also - overpopulation is another HUGE myth. The world, at the current point, is reproducing at 1.2 children per couple. For the earth to stay at the SAME ratio, we need to reproduce at 2.1 children per couple. So actually, we are on a decline.
Again - research and get the facts before believing all the propaganda that tries to get people worked up.

There could be. Overpopulation causes more intensive use of resources and generates more harmful pollution. More pollution is usually thought of as contibuting to global warming.

Can you say for every 1 million people the temperature wil go up X degrees? I don't think we can be that specific with the current models.

Is there a correlation between volcanic episodes and global warming?

Is there a correlation between natural forest fires and global warming?

Has there been extinction of species before human history?

The problem is some countries consume much more per person than other countries. A lot of energy consumption is caused by growing beef, driving large cars, and heating and cooling large houses.

If everyone lived within the limits of the planet's resource, and relied on renewable energy we could stabilize the population near where it is today.

I'm tempted to say yes, but the earth has a way of naturally correcting imbalances. Some refer to these correcting factors as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: traditionally named Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death.

The more people there are, the harder is seems to get them to think for themselves so they won't be so easily fooled into believing in obvious BS like Global Warming.

So, yes.

I would think there would be. If there is a population there is a need for transport, food, and other factors. To get those factors there are places that make such things and those places produce certain gases or pollutants. Overall yes.
