You don't know and it would be impossible to really find out.The only way to guess is by how experienced his actions are.

There is no way to know for sure. If he is a nervous and fumbling as you are it is a good sign. If he is self assured and comfortable he has probably had some experience. From your question I assume that you have your doubts. You have probably answered your question correctly already.
