I am14, 5'4" 117lbs, and I want to play freshman football. Almost all of my friends are taller and heavier than me. I try eating a lot and working out but nothing is working. I have only gained about 9lbs since 2 months ago. People like to mess around with me because I'm small. ITS NOT FAIR :(

Why must my body be like this? Why is it SOOOO hard to gain weight? Is there any way for me to force my body to gain tons of weight (muscle AND fat)? Thanks!

Eat a minimum of 9 times a day, each time you eat, eat a minimum of 300 calories.

One note, you're 14. Male bodies don't fully mature until 17 or 18. The one's who do mature before then are lucky.

Being messed around with is a sign of acceptance with a group, enjoy it, and give it back a little.

at 14, don't worry about it. most people keep growing til around 20. i was 5'11" at 15, now i'm 22 and 6'1" (or more). and for the record, i was MAYBE 5'0" at 13. give it time. then again, you could just be naturally small due to genetics. if your parents and their families are generally small, odds are you will be too. and hold off on the massive weight gain. it can stunt the growth of long bones, preventing you from reaching your full potential height. start weight training at 16 or 17, but not before, unless you're OK with being short. if you're that concerned, see a doctor

because youre 14...

its very very hard to gain weight during puberty. your body uses a staggerin amount of energy to transform your body.

eat well, eat lots of bread, meat and milk and start doing an intensive sport, think swimming, gymnastics, football, or fitness you will fill out eventually. your body will keep growing until the age of 21 so you still have 7 years to go for changes to happen,

keep yourself healthy and fit and all will be well.

Eat a ton of food, but the key is to eat a TON of HEALTHY food!! I used to be 115 pounds and wanted to be 120, so I ate a TON of HEALTHY food and I gained the five pounds in under two months!!!
