Creationists - what do you think of Neanderthals?

Question

Neanderthals were a species from the same genus as humans, homo, that went extinct about 30,000 years ago. They used tools, made primitive clothing, and even had burial rituals.

I'm wondering what you think about them. They were not humans... Were they animals? Did your god make them to be slaves for us? Are Neanderthal fossils tricks of Satan? etc...

Many Creationists for some baffling reason believe that God created the earth as it is now , right? (of coarse without the buildings :p) And leave out any possibility that a scientific approach could find a somewhat accurate view of what truly has happened since Earth's life beginnings such as evolution.


I am a believer in God and creation. I don't think an Evolution believer can rule out God or that a Creationist could rule out Evolution!

I believe that we were created by a supernatural being and I don't understand how it's so impossible to others that even if God created the heavens and earth that it worked in a way of evolution and constant transformation into what it is now.

I laughed when I heard one of those loony famous televangelists say that ancient dinosaur fossils were a test from God to test our belief that we were indeed created by God. That is completely ridiculous. Of coarse they existed...If I remember correctly, in the Bible it says the animals were created before Men...men being created to be caretakers for the land and animals later on. Evolution says the same thing, dinosaurs came to being long before mankind did.

There are a few references to behemoth type creatures in the Bible but not many, this is most likely because the Bible was created far after the dawn of mankind...we obviously didn't have letters at first, nor a specific dialog. Even were it passed down from the mouth through the generations the story changes as time goes on almost like gossip does. The facts about what happened past 10,000 years ago is simply not present.

Perhaps Neanderthals were the next evolution of the creatures that later became completely human. Their are archaeological sites in India that suggest sophisticated societies of men on this earth 100k + years ago. (See, "The Origins of Witchcraft"), there is a lot of history in that book that is not only about witchcraft..There could have been civilizations so far deep into the crust of the earth we just haven't found them yet! And we may never find them..if mankind lasts long enough perhaps we will.

I have come to this conclusion: Even if we were created by beings from another planet, or from some other source, that first spec of life or that first particle that started the Big Bang (maybe this is the powerful word God spoke) had to begin by a supernatural source. It is reasonable to know that something cannot come from nothing. Supernatural beings would only be able to do that.

Creationism and Evolution mistakenly oppose each other! Neither can rule the other out. Spiritual beliefs are clearly real to many people, many signs have been seen by believers and non-believers. Heck I saw someone grow their leg back with prayer!

There is also much evidence of science out there researched by the greatest scientific geniuses pointing towards a gradual billions and trillions of years progression to what we now are.

Some say a day for God (the six days of creation) may have been much longer than our day...of coarse they were! The sun and the planets would not have existed until he made that....time would then not exist to our understanding. So a days length of time was up to God (and wasn't actually a day, it was just the only understanding we could put on it in the Bible), considering he has always been.

I don't understand why Creationists or Evolutionists can't find a middle ground...they can! Both could be true together. It seems almost inevitable. We need to stop fighting and realize we will never know...but we can look for answers and get as close to the truth as we can.

If you actually studied human anatomy and skeletal remains collected from around the world, you would soon realize that Neanderthals are nothing more than a possible distinct race of people for a certain period of time in Europe because the same features found in "Neanderthal" remains can be found all over the world and can even be found in some people today.

These features are generally attributed to climactic or dietary change and variety in human anatomy is less common today due to climate control, availability of various food worldwide, and wide genetic flow among most regions.

It is said that Adam and Eve where the first humans or man kind to walk the earth. Neanderthals may have been part of God's plan as Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden for time was not kept and God set things in place to fool the scholars of science in order to produce faith. It is like a decoy with neanderthals and dinosaurs then God wiped them out and kicked Adam and Eve out of the garden to go and inhabit the earth.

A theory of mine. Some things we have to wait until we get to heaven to fully understand everthing.

They were close to being ancestors of humans. But there is a gap we still havent found to this very day. I could tell you what I think but will it matter when others are always going to tell you ur wrong.

I think they were just a branch off of the original humans, the misfits. so when homo sapien came on the scene, the misfits reproduced, and you have a colony of misfits.

neanderthals are a pretty localized type of human. my theory may not be that far off...

I have neighbors like that.. Loud music, drinking and drugs all the time long arms that almost touch the ground.. underwear showing .. Yep there are some neanderthals still around just like Loch Ness..
