It seems that they spend too much time hating everyone else who does not believe as they do, and judging the remainder of society that they could not POSSIBLY be happy.

I shouldn't have grouped ALL Christians, because I hate generalizations myself...so lets say Christian Extremists or reword the question to say how many Christians Are happy?

And I hate nobody at all...well...not a GROUP of people, maybe a person or two lol

A disciple of Christ would neither hate anyone nor judge anyone.

If you come across folks doing these things while calling themselves by this name, then you may be witnessing people who don't fully understand stuff just yet.

A lot of times, becoming a Christian makes life harder. I know when I converted, I now had a strict moral code that I was trying to obey and was being held accountable for. When you do something that you don't want to do out of temptation, you get mad at yourself and don't feel happy. But, does this mean that your life is not as happy? No. You're just not living that care free, "I can do anything because I'm my own person" mentality.

As for all Christians judging everybody, this is not true and just a perception. Sure there are "Christians" that are on a high horse and act better than others, but real Christians know they are only as good as the way they compare to God. In that area, we all fall hopelessly short.

To the person who said, "God only loves those who believe in him." That is ludicrous. God loves everyone and desparately wants you to love Him back. Most people's minds have been so clouded and their eyes blinded that they have a really hard time doing so.

Wickey wow wow. Now that's good !
I agree with your thought pattern, BUT, there are actually some of us out here that are not haters. Personally, I am a VERY happy Christian. I don't have the cares of this life to hinder. The presentation of LOVE, need to be the stability. Satan has hate. Jesus don't. Well, we hate evil. Like all "religions" there are some that are not according to knowledge, because if they were, they would have love....and not be offended.

Just like all ppl on this earth some ppl are happy and some ppl are sad and sometimes you are sad or angry for a day but usually happy etc...They do like to advertise themselves as HAPPY and CHEERFUL though and lets be honest that it is not always the case.

The ppl that are almost always happy are of every faith but they are hard to find.

I'm mulsim and sometimes I feel like I can't just have a bit of a bad day or be sad for whatever reason because ppl are all judging me and saying, 'Oh if she was Christian she wouldn't feel that way!' ppl have actually said this. Makes me want to confront every christian when they are having a bad day and ask them how they could be mad or sad if they 'have Jesus'!

Nobody is perfect.

Suppose anyone in any religion has good times and bad times. And ups and downs in life. But some born-again Christians I have known try to project this air of always being happy and always being so kindly. Yet I have seen through this all the time. They have this fake "oh look at me filled with joy" kind of attitude, which is in fact very pretentious, since I already knew some things about them, which invalidated everything they tried to stand for. It is all fake and I cannot think it is psychologically healthy either.

to become a christian, you must be aware of your own sin and want to repent of it in the first place. That is the whole reason for accepting Jesus Christ. And, yes, I am overjoyed at the fact that I know where I am going when I die, and it is certain. Everyone has bad days and good days, we are all human. Being Christian makes you no different, but you do have a hope and a solidarity that God has prepared a place for you because you have decided to put your trust in Jesus Christ! If we are christians, we arent allowed to hate or to judge. we are told, though, to spread the word, even to our own christian brothers ad sisters, to lift them up and make sure they are accounting for their actions. that guy rosselmo made me get teary eyed, his response was so perfect...

Honestly? I'm happy because this is a dumb question. Not all Christians are happy, just as not all atheists / Mormons / Muslims / Hindus / [insert name of religious group of people here] are happy. I find it hilarious that everyone is jumping up to answer for us, when it is quite clearly not the case that any person could know that except for every person who calls themselves a Christian.

Well if them stupid mormons would stop knocking at my door...I use to be an atheist by the way, funny thing, i could never think my migraines away or heal myself by thinking I could heal myself, even when i was near death for the third time. I could not stop the suicide thoughts and make them go away. (Getting saved finally did) All the medicine and theraphy could never help me help myself from wanting to exit (just kill myself) stage left. The mormon bible had nothing to say for my life, but the christian bible, I never knew there was scriptures to help me or I would read a scripture the day before that a person needed (i know coinsidence right, thats what all atheist thing). You should be a mormon, they think like an atheist, other churches either use the power of satan or it is just a cioncidence that the person got healed.

Are you Happy? We have our problems the same as you.We are the same as you except we have been forgiven by excepting Jesus Christ as our savior. Its not a magic pill by any means. We still have a ordinary life. Most of us do at least.I get up every morning and go to work, take my kids to ball practice,go to the grocery store. Why is it you feel the need to ask if we are happy? The only difference is my life insurance policy is out of this world. I love my life ,my family my friends. We bleed just like you.I really believe your question has a note of ignorance. Not to be rude.I don't have time to hate people. But you must cuz you just proved it to us.
God Bless

You ASSUME.
I don't hate other people. I believe there is one way to salvation. If I were on a boat and saw you in the water drowning I would throw you a rope and pull you to safety. That's what Christians are doing, helping you and others find safety/salvation through Jesus who is the only one that can save you.

Happiness is temporal. We Christians can have adversities and still have hope and inner joy knowing we are not alone in our sorrow. We have a God who loves us and is there for us.
We also have hope knowing we will one day be in heaven with a loving God. Where there will be no more death or sorry.
God bless you,
