Three Dog Bakery will not respond to emails and I have many pouches that I hate to give to my little one nor want to throw them away. When these pouches are frozen, the puffiness leaves, when room-warmed, they become quite puffy. There does appear to be a strong odor. Could be my fears.

From working in the food industry I know that puffy packages can be caused by a greater amount of gas in the package.
DO NOT feed these to your dog. Even if it doesn't get permanently sick, it can cause stomach pains and diarrhea. Not worth it.

The puffiness is a positive sign of the contents inside having spoiled. As foods spoil they create excess gases, and that is where the puffiness is coming from. Double check to make sure you were supposed to freeze them. If so, did you freeze them properly? And, did you thaw them properly? People have a tendency to thaw food items on the counter at room temperature which is unsafe. Thawing items at room temperature promotes bacterial growth and spoiling.

The rule of thumb is : when in doubt throw it out. Better to be safe than sorry. You pooch will thank you.

Whoa!!! Absolutely NOT! It has spoiled, and may contain botulism. Put it in the trash.

Are you even supposed to freeze them? Did you freeze them correctly? There are some questions I can pose to you my friend, and I think in the end it may end in me sending over the animal rights people to talk with you....my friend....
