I have very fair skin and dark hair. When I shave I notice there are still black dots all over my legs. I change my razor often, use a good quality one, shave gel etc...but nothing works. I read that "sugaring" is great. Can someone tell me how this process works or any other suggestions? Does tanning also help?

tanning could help. or you could 'nair' it.
i also heard of bleaching it but i'm not sure about that one.
or you could just forget about it. i promise no on notices it more than you.
and dont worry i have dark hair and fair skin too.

True and true. Sugaring can help get into and remove the follicle which will reduce the appearance of the black marks in most cases. Tanning will also help reduce the appearance as your skin will get darker making the dark dots not seem so noticeable. However, this doesn't work for everyone. It depends upon the person. Some people, there is absolutely nothing you can do. Unless you already have some sugar scrub, there's a simple and easy recipe for it. Take some of your favorite lotion and mix it with as much sugar as it takes to make a thick paste. Just rub this over your legs over wherever, you'll feel the abbrasive action. Then rinse. That is the act of sugaring. Good luck.

I have the exact same thing! I don't tan easily, and every self tanner I've tried is a disaster, so that's not the answer for me.

Does anyone know the best kind of hair remover that takes the least amount of hair needed to grow? Like, most Nair products require your hair to be a quarter inch long before waxing, but I can't go that long without shaving my legs, I feel icky.

So is there something that you can use after only like two days of not shaving?

I have the same thing. Don't worry about it. It's not that big of deal. It's just something that happens. I thought it was me but nope. It happens to a lot of people. Genes and stuff like that. And if your embarrassed..don't be! And no tanning doesn't help at all..I tried and almost ruined my skin.

I don't have the slightest clue what sugaring is, but consider trying Nair hair removal products, they dissolve hair just below the surface of your skin, and it lasts for a pretty long time, and when it grows back it's not all stubbly. Plus, it's easy to use.

waxing/sugaring will be the best way to remove dark hair, the hair is removed at the root, so no black stubble willbe left behind, or appear for a few weeks!!

Tanning makes it less noticiable but I have friends who actually bleach their leg hair!
