Everyone has their own personalized belief it seems. Nevermind the thousands of christian denominations, even christians in the same denomination have varying views. One believes Noah's flood was a literal global flood, another believes it was local. One believes in god and evolution, another believes only in Adam & Eve. There must must tens, if not hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of varying views. Yet every one believes their own view to be the right one.
How can this be? Even if only one view was correct, that means the rest of you are screwed. What do you think your chances are of having the correct belief? What about the majority of the planet that believes in another religion (or no religion)?
Can't you see how ridiculous this is?? Why do you think your belief is the only correct one and every other person on earth is wrong??

I know... I get that CONSTANTLY. Have you seen my questions on Adam & Eve? They simply cannot agree on... well... ANYTHING to do with that subject.
You'd think at least THAT issue would be rock solid... crystal clear... as it's what their faith asserts is THE BASIS FOR OUR NEED OF A SAVIOR.
But no... no agreement at all.

Fundamentalists/evangelicals' claims of Bible inerrancy notwithstanding, it was not an uncommon practice for the disciples of a teacher or writer to add to the teacher's/writer's manuscript *in the name of the author*. This was not considered malfeasance as it would be today. My teachers taught that Mark probably died before he could finish his gospel, or else the ending was lost. As a matter of course, the men who "followed" Mark as a teacher or at least as an eyewitness to some of Jesus's exploits, probably finished the Gospel of Mark in Mark's name. No big deal. I don't see the logic in "without the Bible, there would be no God." I believe because of what I experienced, not because of what the Bible said. Bear in mind that I'm Roman Catholic, so I know that Holy Scripture is only one means of revelation. No doubt the Bible helped my spiritual experience along, but it didn't comprise it.

My friend, it is like love. Everyone wants love, it is right in front of us and yet we do not see it (Love is blind). Everyone is also seeking God, He is everywhere and yet we cannot find him?
No matter what category us Humans class each other (Christian, catholics etc), we are all brothers and sisters trying to find Him but the world does not see it this way.
The answer you seek, no man can answer because it is not up to us (humans) to give each other the answers only testimonies of our own experences. It is up to you to ask the Lord himself and that is why you get different versions from people, because the answer that God gives us is for us alone. This is what Freewill is all about, their is alot more to this but I'm sure you understand what I mean.
Seek Him out and never stop seeking, He will answer your question only when you are ready to hear it.
God bless you my friend.

For this very reason we put our faith in God and His Word, and never in man. You will find, if you dig deeper, that most all born again, Bible believing Christians actually believe very close to the same thing. Its those who want to bring their unbelief into Christianity that have all these different ideas.
Jesus said broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many find their way there.

There is one God--most Christian believe in Jesus as savior--past that there--many doctrines that each division believes. I think God will be the judge--And there will be many in heaven that were not expected and many not there that believed they were the only ones. All people(Atheists) have faith they choose to manifest that Faith in Education and absolute Reason and logic--but they become frustrated and have trouble with their love life and relationships. Christian Faith is not a disease it is a system of Biblical logic and philosophy

LOL yeah it is confusing.
Its kinda fun when you get a first now and then.
I had a first the other night when a guy told me that Eve gave birth to 26 sets of twins prior to the fall of Eden.

I am the truth and the way. The sooner we all realize that and send me all your money the better off we will all be.
But on a serious note, its just more proof that none of us can be completely sure. Or even completely right.

Kind of kills Pascal before you even get out of Christianity, doesn't it? Then they start arguing over who gets to be a "real Christian". Look at the way Christians love each other, why should non-Christians expect to be treated any different?

Well ...first off...if someone didn't believe that his/her opinion was the correct one ....there wouldn't be much basis to believe in it would there?
I don't think it matters to God (Jehovah, Allah etc) what the trivial history points are that you believe actually happened or what your personal name for God is ...I think it only matters that you DO believe that He is the creator and higher power governing our lives.

Lots of people do that. However, if they give you a Biblical answer, it's worth a second look.
Job tried to answer for God when his friends questioned him.
God rebuked him for speaking in God's place, and for speaking without knowledge.
