All the chemicals, calcium, chlorine, algeacides are safe in pregnancy as long as you aren't drinking it and the Ph is normal. If your eyes aren't burning, the water is clear not hazy, the calcium and chlorine levels are safe. I learned this from our pool guy because I had the same questions and I am 33 wks along. Good luck and enjoy ! My OB suggested swimming because it is good for the lymphatic system so it helps to keep edema (swelling ) down.

I swam my whole pregnancy. Just don't do the hot tub! And I think you mean chlorine, not calcium. As long as you don't drink a gallon of pool water you'll be fine.

Its fine !! Dont worry about that at all ... Becareful tho if this is your first time swimming sense you have been pregnant i would take it easy. I myself went for a swim for the frist time when i was about 33 weeks prego and not even 2 weeks later i had my baby. Same thing happened with my friend... She wanted to have her baby so i told her too go swimming and 3 days later she had her son. GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN!

Yes, it's safe. :) After your water breaks, though, it's time to step out of the pool, plus you have to avoid taking a bath at that time. Beforehand, though, ENJOY.

Not only is it okay, but it is sweet momentary relief from the constant feeling of gravity working against you. Go ahead and enjoy, your baby will enjoy it too!

i dont see why it wouldnt be ok; it will also take weight off of your back for a while, and its cool thinking "hey, my baby is underwater and has no chance of drowning!"
