Rapid breathing is never normal in cats and you should get it to the Vet, ASAP!
There are various causes for this, but they are all very dangerous.
It might not seem like much now but it can get out of control really fast.

No they shouldn't if they are you need to get to teh vets there can be something VERY seriously wrong with your cat.
