i'm looking to purchase one of lexar's new 300x udma cards for my canon, but i'm not sure if the camera can fully utilize the capabilities of the card's increased camera writing capabilities. i know that the technology will increase the speed to the computer, but need info on which cameras best utilize the new technology and any related information. thanks!

Here's some benchmarks for the 30D with various cards. They don't list this Lexar card yet, but at 300x (45MB/sec) it's only a tiny bit faster than the SanDisk Extreme IV (40MB/sec).

Interesting stuff there. Note that different sizes of the same card have slightly different write speeds (2GB cards tend to be faster than 4GB cards!!?) and that the 30D seems to top out at 7MB/sec for RAW and 6MB/sec for jpg, no matter what card is in it.
In continuous shooting mode, this 300x Lexar card might let you squeeze in 1 extra frame vs. a 150x card before the buffer fills up. The marginal benefit is that small.
