Don't go very long in between trims so the change is not so drastic. The kids aren't teasing about the buzz- it's probably going from bushy to trimmed or long to short.

1st off;I've read and reread your question and having a bit of trouble understanding it.Did HE want the buzz or was that you wanted? If he did it on his own;well he'll just have to wait till it grows in.Now if the BUZZ was YOUR idea;then I'd say buy him a trendy baseball hat AND a take him out to DINNER.

Well usually kids will only make fun of you if they know it upsets you. If he brushes it off and acts like it doesn't bother him, they will get bored of teasing him quickly. So my suggestion would be even if he doesn't like the haircut, he should act like he does like it and doesn't care what people think, so it's not a big deal. If he acts self-conscious, other kids will pick up on it and tease him.

Pay the teasers no mind. If he shows that the teasing does not bother him, they will tire of him and move onto someone else to tease (for it is entertainment for them). Remember "sticks and stones....." If he acts like it is the haircut he wanted because he wanted to be noticed(like Britney) they will stop with the tease.

He can accept it. Trust me, in my school (junoir high) all the boys are shaving their hair just because it's cooler. They used to have manes but the lions gone and im glad. It is a great, workable style. Tell him that.
