Combine the video with an idea of giving each person that comes in a candle. Have a large candle placed on a table, with a medium candle sitting in front. Have the Jesus Candle lit when ready light the priest candle making a comment about how the priest has reflected the light of Jesus in the parish. Then invite the people to come forward and share how he touch their life. It can be as simple as seeing Christ in His face when was giving, communion.
or about a night when He sat in the waiting room waiting for news on a child, parent, new born, but he was there for prayer and support.
At the end follow up with how much Love and light has come thru this man. For those that are young, or uncomfortable in speaking they can say Thank-you Jesus for this man. Votive or plummers candle work the best.

Invite the members of the congregation to write notes about the priest, and have them bound into a book for him (make sure that he doesn't know about it in advance!). They can share things like what he's meant to them, or favorite memories about him, or general well-wishes for his retirement.
