How well was it cleaned, with boiling water? I would just go buy a new spray bottle at the store. The ingredients are harmful.
Remember to spray their stomachs, as that will keep them the coolest. It is better than giving them anything too cold. It can shock their body.
Occasional ice cubes and a lick of vanilla ice cream are fine, but not freezing cold water to drink.

I think it's fine! You're supposed to spray dog beds and such with it, so it should be okay if you had a trace left, but really, if you cleaned it, there would be such a small trace left that it couldn't possibly hurt a pet. Dogs like to be wet when they're hot so spray away!!!! My dogs jump in the kiddie pool I buy them and run into the hose--if the dog likes to be wet, absolutely...if they don't, it's still good for them. If they cower and hate it, then maybe you shouldn't.

i wouldnt. you dont really know what chemicals were in the febreze. just to be on the safe side, go buy a cheap little bottle. dont use the febreze bottle.

Why not go to the dollarstore and get a spray bottle there? Who knows what kind of chemicals are lingering in a bottle. Once the bottle is done throw it out.
I don't know I just think it is safer.

Just get a generic spray bottle at your local drugstore and fill it with water and keep it in the fridge. When the dogs get hot, put the nozzle on "MIST" and mist them down with cold water.

Yes, as long as you are sure it is cleaned out properly. If you aren't fill it with vinegar and water and then let it sit and shake it a bit. This will kill all the harmful bacteria and chemicals that could harm your dogs. Good job on trying to keep them cool in the heat!

It is ok but onlly if you have cleaned it properly. Like you could put vinegar and water in it to kill the germs and make sure that there is no bleach left in it!!! Otherwise your dog can get very sick!!! I agree with Sheena

Yes, it's fine. I use Febreze in my cat's litter box and have been for a very long time. So a cleaned out spray bottle won't hurt your dog;^)

NO!
Please dont, there is bleach in that and if your dogs lick themselves they can get VERY sick. It wont matter how many times you wash it, there is bleach and fabrics stain remover in the plastic. Go to the dollar store and find a spray bottle.
