I prefer the list given as "Canada's 5 largest "urban areas"".
Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton.
Calgary and Edmonton have way more of a "big city-ness" about them than Ottawa does. Ottawa is bigger because they amalgamated lots of towns. I've been to all six cities (although Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver not since the early 80s).
