Liquids, gels and aerosols are permitted in hold baggage - leave your baggage unlocked as the authorities may need to check inside (if locked, they WILL break the lock). If they do so, they will place a notice to that effect inside, at the top. Do not place valuables in hold baggage.
They are also permitted in carry-on baggage provided that they are in containers of 100ml or less (the container itself must not exceed that size) and that the containers are placed into a clear, sealed ziploc bag that comfortably holds them.
If in any doubt, check with the authority (FAA- US, CAA -UK).
Have a good trip.

You can take any liquids you want in your luggage just not in your carry on.
Your luggage is scanned before it is loaded and you have no access to it while in the air thus there is no restriction.
I am a frequent travel as is my hubby and I pack for both of us and have never had any problems with checked in luggage.
If you need proof go look at the site of your airline, it will have it there.
You are also not allowed to bring any sharp objects or lighters in carry ons.

As i was going thru baggage check on my way to Alexandria, Egypt, I had to give my favorite toothpaste. They told me that i was allowed so many ounces. She didnt tell me how many oz and i was too disapointed and shocked to ask.
As i put my tube of toothpaste on the table i was noticing other peoples items they had to leave behind.
